The School of Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art is seeking to appoint an Academic Support Administrator to provide efficient administrative support for the Academic Support Manager, Head of the School of Fine Art, Academic Lead and Research Lead across the School of Fine Art.
The successful candidate will be a pro-active, committed and organised individual with a keen interest in business process improvement and will be expected to undertake a wide range of administrative duties and responsibilities, including accurate, high volume data entry, training of staff, management of multiple staff diaries and school calendars and facilitation of tasks across the administrative team. You will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be able to work with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of our School administrative processes, with a particular focus on quality assurance and compliance processes as well as assisting with other activities that are essential for the delivery of excellent learning and teaching within the School.
You will also provide general administrative support, such as purchasing/procurement tasks, booking travel and accommodation and organising meetings and events.
Successful candidates will have a 'can do' attitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and producing accurate work to tight deadlines.
To be considered for this role, you will be educated to a minimum of Higher-Grade level, or equivalent, with previous experience in a similar environment. You will be IT literate, with experience of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel and you will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills. You will be able to work in a team environment, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to organise your own workload and use your own initiative within a busy office environment.
