Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Hours: 4 on 4 off, (2 days and 2 nights per shift) - 6am to 6pm days and 6pm to 6am nights
Salary: £22.18/hr on days, £23.16/hr on nights (average of £49,500/year)

The Company:
My client is one of the UK's largest food businesses, supplying household items to supermarkets. They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
They are seeking an engineer to work on their team with experience within FMCG or similar food processing work environment.
Reporting in to the engineering manager, your objective will be to ensure the efficient upkeep of all machinery on site and optimise machinery output and product quality while minimising plant downtime.
Responsibilities will include:
-Apply root-cause analysis to address failures, complete corrective action plans, and suggest preventive measures.
-Ensure work is carried out within company and legislative Health and Safety guidelines while maintaining high hygiene standards for the department
-Fault finding to identify root cause of breakdowns and recognise impending issues, complete corrective action plans, and suggest preventive measures.
-Assist the Reliability Engineer in executing planned shutdowns or overhauls
Working closely with the engineering team and plant, the role offers a progression plan and career development to senior roles within the company.
Requirements:
- HNC/HND or recognised Engineering qualification
- FMCG/food manufacturing experience
- Packing machinery and mixing machinery experience
