This role reports to the Head of Business Development and directly supports the Head of Commercial Bank, providing communications and operational support to maximize effectiveness and drive execution of global strategy, business management, and governance activities, among other opportunities.
The selected candidate will gain a horizontal, cross-business understanding of Citi’s operations and CCB’s and Banking & International’s strategy, and provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from the CCB Business Head.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage Head of Commercial Bank’s communications, in partnership with the Head of Business Development, ESPA, among other key stakeholders.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Head of Commercial Bank’s office, prioritising and anticipating requests and ensuring the CCB Head is appropriately prepared for all internal, client, regulatory and other engagements; this may include preparing presentations or reviewing briefing materials, drafting talking points, and conducting due diligence and analysis, as well as ensuring the CCB Head is prepared for key meetings.
- Support the Head of Commercial Bank and partner with leadership team, particularly the Head of Business Development, to ensure successful execution of CCB business priorities.
- Build strong global connections, including with Banking & International and the CEO’s offices and other CCB and Citi senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with products, functions, geographies and legal entities to ensure alignment and ensure successful delivery against business and firm-wide objectives and CCB’s own strategy.
- Selectively lead initiatives or strategic projects that are of critical importance to CCB.
- Coordinate global town halls and strategic planning sessions advancing organization goals and creating sustaining dynamic, open communication forums for topical issues.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and execute on projects with high quality and in a timely manner.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with an eye for visual appeal.
- Understanding of Citi’s operations, organisational and governance structure, key clients and regulators, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in commercial banking and/or commercial banking products preferred.
- Ability to manage in a complex and changing environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent analytical skills and adeptness at quickly synthesizing and distilling complex information.
- Professional, resilient under pressure and self-motivated.
- Ability to partner effectively and influence firm-wide at varying levels of the organization including at the most senior.
- Must be expert in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
