Details About This Specific Position:

• This role will be onsite in Dallas, TX - will be in the office 2-3 days a week
• Full-Time work during normal business hours

The Summer Associate, Finance & Accounting intern will be responsible for assisting a business finance team with various tasks, such as reporting, analysis, month-end close process, and monthly financial projections. The intern will need to create an analysis and present their work/findings to team leaders while also providing ad hoc analyses based on the needs of the team. Additionally, the intern will support in Accounting monthly reviews and reporting.

 This program will provide exposure to corporate Finance/Accounting and business leaders, and the cadence/process of reporting results, creating forecasts, and reviewing with the businesses. The intern will have the opportunity to enhance their Excel and PowerPoint skills, practice presentation skills, and learn how to communicate analyses/reports to Finance/Accounting leaders and non-Finance/Accounting partners.

 The program aims to provide the intern with the completion of needed Finance/Accounting analyses and reporting that help the team with workload, and training/exposure to potential future employee.

Minimum Experience:

• Undergraduate student working toward their degree and/or returning to school in the fall
• Degree focus in finance and/or accounting and has completed some finance/accounting courses preferable.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA

Skills Needed:

• Basic understanding of Corporate Finance & Accounting principles
• Proficient in using Microsoft products

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.

Who we are

Be part of a small but mighty team, producing, collaborating, and distributing forms and documents utilized in the establishment and maintenance of retirement accounts. This position will require attention to detail in managing multiple projects at one time including minor updates to a single form, creating new forms, or coordinating global updates to many forms at one time. All while balancing the requirements to different digital platforms and required deadlines.

The role reports directly to the Manager. This employee works closely with other team members, as well as multiple internal departments (Relationship Management, Operation Teams, and Broker Dealer Management Members, Marketing Communications, IT Partners, Legal and Compliance). This position is a remote.

What we are looking for

• 4+ years’ experience in Desktop Publishing/Graphic Design preferably using Adobe InDesign. Demonstrated experience managing complex projects & global updates as either a team lead or contributor. Prior experience in writing and proofing material for design consistency and compliance with graphic standards. 
• Moderate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to analyze, prioritize, and resolve moderately complex form problems. Take appropriate action to escalate highly complex problems, as needed.
• Able to work within a team environment and individually self-motivated. Preferably with cross-functional communication skills.
• Prior experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional beneficial.
• Perform administrative tasks to effectively maintain project tracking and inventory library. Develop and maintain department documentation in an approved format.

DESCRIPTION
This position provides auto claims service to customers using multiple communication channels. Within defined guidelines and framework, responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating and adjusting simple to moderately complex auto injury claims presented by or against a policyholder. The role will include confirming coverage, determining liability, evaluating injuries and equitably settling claims in compliance with all state and regulatory requirements. Works under minimal supervision to perform work assignments and problem resolution. Accountable for delivering a high level of service in every interaction through setting appropriate expectations, proactive communications, advice and empathy. This role will also provide the opportunity to utilize leadership and conflict management skills as you guide the customer through the claims and repair process. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Provides claims service via internal channels (phone/fax/email/mail) to policy holders and third-party customers on behalf of clients. 
• Adjust soft tissue, moderately complex Bodily Injury claims, PIP/Med Pay, UM/UIM and Personal Liability claims as well as all auto physical damage associated with those claims. 
• Identify, confirm, and make coverage decisions on soft tissue to moderately complex claims. 
• Investigate loss details, determine legal liability, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims within appropriate authority guidelines. 
• Clearly document thought process, investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement decisions. 
• Prioritize and manage assigned claims workload to keep policyholders and other involved parties informed and provide timely claims status updates. 
• Collaborate and support team members to resolve issues and identify appropriate matters for escalation. 
• May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience. 
• Acquires and applies basic knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance industry products, services, and processes to include P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages and the claim handling process and procedures. 
• Ability to maintain discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgement 
• Supports workload surges and/or Catastrophe operations as needed. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

• High School Diploma or GED 
• 5+ years of auto casualty adjusting experience 
• 3+ years of bodily injury claims adjusting (non repd & attny repd- moderate/severe)
• Medicare/Medicaid experience
• Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license 
• Working knowledge and understanding of the auto claims contract as well as application of case law, state laws and regulations. 
• Computer literate in a Windows operating environment. 
• Strong customer service, phone, written communication & organizational skills. 
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and easily acclimates to changes in process/systems for overall improvement of the organization. 
• Must be accurate and detail oriented. 
• Ability to learn new technologies. 
• Ability to work independantly
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.

• Broad understanding of the legal and regulatory environments surrounding insurance Illustrations and regulations

• Knowledge of insurance systems, especially systems such as ALIP, CFO, LifeComm, ULA or Vantage AIG systems

• Ability to leverage programs like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to review data, create analysis and share findings in writing to both internal and external parties.

• Familiar with using JIRA defect system

What You Will Do:

The Patient Account Representative (PAR) is expected to perform specific billing processes, follow-up, account resolution, adjustments and scanning as required. This position works with other departments to facilitate the meeting of both departmental facility goals and objectives. This position is responsible for account resolution.  Ability to find solutions to problems and keeping management informed of patterns regarding payments and or other issues with specific payers is essential

The Patient Account Representative has an extensive knowledge of billing, accounts receivable follow-up, timely filing guidelines and the ability to effectively review remittance advices and electronic billing reports from payer to determine the action required. This position performs all related job duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contacts third party payers and guarantors via payer websites or by phone to resolve account balances on all assigned accounts.

• Work all correspondence within 24 hours or receipt.  Detail notes regarding correspondence must be entered into the client’s system

• Works all denials taking necessary actions to obtain account resolution

• Submits appeals, as appropriate, for all non-clinical denials

• Monitors all denials for trends and issues and reports findings to supervisor

• Bills or re-bills claims as necessary

• Ensures the client follows all state and federal rules and regulations both billing and HIPAA

• Completes assigned special projects within the time frames given

• Attend training sessions and seminars offered by the Client and Third-Party Payers.

• Appropriately documents each account worked in client practice management system

• Makes necessary corrections in client practice management system.

• Resolves or forwards all address and / or plan changes as appropriate to ensure the integrity of the insurance master is maintained

• Updates patient accounts with corrected demographic or insurance information    

• Posts adjustments based on standard operating procedures or as directed by leadership

• Handles all customer calls both internal and external in a professional and courteous manner.

Job Purpose

The District Supervisor is the multi-unit manager on the front lines of our business. The position reports to the State Vice President Operations with a portfolio of six to ten branch Managers under direct supervision.
