About The Role
Preparing, cooking and serving food at a busy customer site.

You'll ensure the provision of a high standard of food quality, preparing, cooking and presenting food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy and safe environment. You'll also supervise a small team of staff and be responsible for meeting budgets and managing cash.

You will be working 5 over 7 between 08:00 to 19:00, 37.5 hours per week.

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification - e.g. Food Hygiene Certificate
• Diploma in Professional Cookery minimum Level 2 - e.g. C&G 706/2
• Experience of contract catering

More about the Role

To work within a multi skilled team of bakery assistants to manufacture our range of bread and confectionary products to produce
quality bakery items and maintain the high level of customer satisfaction currently being achieved.

* Production, baking and packing various bakery products
* Working across multiple production lines
* Set up and run machinery used for the manufacture of bakery products to set specifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate with aspirations of becoming a qualified food safety officer. Having previous experience working within the food industry is essential.

You will work in the food /health and safety team covering food hygiene inspections, infectious disease control, investigation of food complaints, animal licencing and health and safety inspections/investigations.

Good IT skills, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as well as a flexible approach to working hours are also essential.

The Role:

• Chef de-Partie will contribute to the production of food items in accordance with instructions from the Sous Chef and/or the Head Chef.
• Be knowledgeable of the day’s business, i.e., know what reservations are booked into the Food & Beverage outlets, be aware of outside events that will impact directly on business, etc.
• Be familiar with the menu and with any “specials” of the day.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion.

• Avoid unnecessary wastage, to observe proper portion planning and control and to act in a cost effective, responsible manner.

• Ensure HACCP compliance within the kitchen and all Food & Beverage outlets.
• Comply with all Health and Safety guidelines and report any issues as appropriate.
• Energy and cost awareness to deliver savings where possible.
• Ensure the kitchen equipment is in working order; report any maintenance issues to Head Chef.
• Following company control procedures in accordance with the company Internal audit requirements
• Assist in the training and development of junior members of the kitchen team to and the supervision of the kitchen
