Hillside is a care and rehabilitation facility for health and social care. This is a specialist facility, providing short term and long term care for older members of the community who are living with age-related conditions such as dementia
You will be responsible for running the kitchen at Hillside in line with food hygiene standards for the provision of meals to clients staying with us.

At Baskerville hall a House Keeper breakfast cook is responsible for cooking breakfast for the guests staying within the hotel. Job Description

Team Leadership/Supervision:

• Ensure the food service provision is carried out in accordance with all aspects of the Food Safety & Quality Management System and any relevant legislation
• Ensure all food is produced on time to the required quality standards.
• Prepare and serve food at additional functions as instructed.
• Ensure that all kitchen facilities and equipment is cleaned in accordance with the prescribed method and to the correct schedule.
• Lead, motivate, supervise the team.
• Organise, deliver and grow positive teams filled with pride.
• Assist and support management.
• Participate in supervisors’ meetings.

Operations:

• Liaise with and engage your team in building a proactive and positive relationship with the client.
• Monitor food production and service standards in line with policy standards, ensuring that any issues are professionally addressed in a responsive and timely manner
• Ensure all quality records are completed accurately and on time.
• Kitchen facilities and all equipment are cleaned in accordance with the prescribed method and to the correct schedule.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and Codes of Practice, together with any specific on-site requirements of key clients.
• Ensure all traceability requirements are fully complied with.

What will I be doing?

As the Head Chef you will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure all kitchens adhere to company Health and Safety standards. You will oversee a team of up to 50 chefs so must have a passion for food, service and above all development. With a brigade this size you will need to be able to communicate across all levels to ensure that the team are organised, planned and that service is smooth and effective.
