Registered Nurse (Aged Care) – Full time position is vacant at our Aged Care Facility, Cowra Retirement Village Ltd in Cowra NSW, 2794. Minimum 38 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Cowra Retirement Village Ltd is a community owned, not for profit organisation committed to providing the highest standard of care to our residents in a comfortable home like setting. You will work as part of a clinical team which includes registered nurses on duty 24/7 and be supported by a professional management team and a committed resident centred board.
Located in the vibrant regional township of Cowra NSW; the organisation offers 84 residential beds including a 14-bed secured dementia unit and is one of the largest employers in the area with over 160 employees.
The Role
This position is to work closely with management and coworkers to lead the team in the provision of nursing and personal care services to cater the needs of all resident’s health and well-being.
Your role is to ensure that all duties required of a Registered Nurse in an Aged Care Facility are carried out in accordance with our high standards and compliance requirements.

Annual Salary (depending on experience/skills between $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 plus superannuation.
Required Qualification: Relevant bachelor’s degree or higher qualification is required. You are required to be licenced as a Registered Nurse and have 2 years full time work experience as a Registered Nurse.
Job Description
• assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for residents according to accepted nursing practice and standards
• Ensure appropriate and timely communication of care plans to all relevant parties and coordinate care requirements with external health professionals
• Comply with WHS legislation, policies, procedures, and directions, and adopt safe work practices consistent with these.
• Be professional, respectful, open, and accurate in all communications with elderly people and their representatives
• working in consultation with other Health Professionals and members of health teams, and coordinating the care of residents
• providing interventions, treatments and therapies such as medications, and monitoring responses to treatment and care plan
• Administer medications safely and correctly in accordance with regulatory requirements and Cowra Retirement Village Ltd policies and procedures
• Report resident and family concerns, ideas, feedback, and complaints in a timely manner and in accordance with Cowra Retirement Village Ltd policies and procedures
• promoting health and assisting in preventing ill health by participating in health education and other health promotion activities
• answering questions and providing information to residents and families about treatment and care
• supervising and coordinating the work of team leaders, personal care support workers and other health care workers
About you
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong computer skills, with intermediate knowledge and application of Microsoft Suite and care software
• Ability to work in a team
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Critical thinking/problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead others
Essential Criteria
• Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Qualifications/ training relevant to Aged Care
• Current First Aid Certificate
