This company, a National player in the FM world, require a Health and Safety Advisor to be based at their prestigious client site in Manchester with UK wide travel. Role Responsibilities:

• Advise and assist site and office-based staff on all aspects of the Company's, Health & Safety Environmental and Energy Systems and procedures.
• Source, plan and deliver training to employees as required to recognised/acceptable standards.
• Promotion of the health and safety ethos and culture at all levels in the Company and Assess competence and engagement of staff and sub-contractors.
• Develop appropriate health and safety, as well as environmental initiatives as required.
• Review and develop internal RAMS and support site in the review of submitted subcontractor RAMS where appropriate. Along with the review of account specific COSHH assessments in compliance with H&S and legal obligations.
• Undertake regular observation reports, inspections, audits in keeping with an agreed programme across the account and report accordingly.
• Support the reporting and Investigation of all incidents, dangerous occurrences, ill health, wellbeing concerns and near misses.
• Development of operating procedures and other aspects of the Safety, Health, Environmental and Energy Management Systems through continuous improvement.
• Support the review of all compliance data and evidence held my sites in relation to compliance reporting via the complete suite of operational logbooks both electronic and site held.

The successful candidate:

• Ideally have previous experience and be fully conversant in advising on all aspects of H&S compliance in a facilities management (hard and soft), along with all construction related activity, across a mix of operational sites from offices to large industrial manufacturing settings.
• The National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety - delivered by NEBOSH providing a good understanding of a broad range of health and safety issues.
• Experience in a similar HSE, wellbeing and energy related role and applicable systems.
• Auditing and regulatory compliance experience.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and Databases.
• Experience in delivering presentations/training sessions.
• Good interpersonal and customer relationship skills
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001/45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 systems & their implementation.
• Professional Membership to IOSH (Tech IOSH/GRADIOSH) or above.
• A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

This role will focus on supporting our client's Offshore Wind Farm Projects, ensuring that the project is delivered safely and efficiently.

The HSE Advisor is responsible for driving the implementation of the HSE management system and practices to ensure HSE standards and requirements are achieved throughout the construction project.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting and assisting the client's delivery team in the delivery of our client's Offshore Wind Farm with main focus on the Offshore WTG Installation, Onshore Converter Stations and Onshore Infrastructure, to achieve compliance with project goals, company standards, statutory responsibilities associated HSE and related works management.
• Provide the project manager with any reports or statistics required
• Report directly to the project manager and HSE Manager
• Review of contractor RAMS and other relevant documentation so as to ensure compliance, with the CDM Regulations, Client duties
• Supporting the development of local procedures and/or standards for HSE aspects related to work processes or asset.
• Prepare internal or review contractor's formal reports, i.e. SEARS /Accident Investigation, High Potential/Near Hits, Internal audit reports and daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, 6 monthly and yearly HSE reports. Lead incident investigation where required. Formally communicate learnings from incident investigations.
• Active monitoring of site health and safety and work with other client disciplines and contractors to implement improvements
• Active monitoring of contractor's monthly safety observations and assist in trend analysis with the contractors
• Develop HSE drills with the contractors and assist in the implementation of any improvements arising from the drill
• Support and actively encourage a positive culture throughout the site and project

Requirements:

• NEBOSH / IOSH or Degree Level in Health & Safety
• Offshore Wind Experience, specifically WTG Installation
• Full GWOs (5-Modules)

What you'll do:

We are looking for a Health and Safety practitioner, preferably chartered, to take a lead on several projects with the appointment of contractors and organising their collaboration forming an Alliance. This role will take a lead on the strategy of the design of the Safety for this long phase of the project.

The phase this role will encompass will be the installation of the track and network system moving through to testing and use of the transport system.

The main skills required in this role from a Health & Safety perspective will be to collaborate with the contractors to strategise the best solutions, procedures and practices to provide the best solutions.

There will also be supervising the contractors to ensure all procedures are followed.
Rail experience is a help but not vital. Our client is looking for those that can demonstrate their Relationship Building, Analytical skills along with contractor liaison. Leadership skills would also be extremely useful.

NEC contract knowledge and Chartership in a Health and Safety qualification would be advantageous.
