Mitie has a great opportunity for a Retail Elite Security Officer to join the Total Security Management Team.

Retail Elite Security Officers must be available to cover various shift patterns as well as being flexible in their approach to working locations and potential changes to working patterns.

Job Overview

-To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.

-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

Main Duties

Operations

-To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.

-To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties. The Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. There are also additional courses that are contractually required.

-Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.

-Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.

-Work in a systematic, methodology and orderly way.

Training

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.

-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

-Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.

-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

-To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

-SIA License

-Frontline Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential, CCTV Licence would be beneficial.

A nationwide brand specialising in providing replacement windows and doors to the public sector and housing authorities throughout the UK. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Surveyor working on locations throughout the Southregion.

Reporting to the National Survey Manager , your role as a Commercial Window & Door Surveyor will be to qualify all contract details with our customers, ensuring that all products listed on the contract are measured correctly for manufacturing purposes and providing detailed drawings where required.

Key responsibilities

• Measuring existing windows / prepared openings and then inputting the data using the company's procedures into the surveying software for production.
• Follow a clear and concise brief on contract requirements and detailed information on how products are to be processed for manufacture.
• Complete on-site survey of windows and doors taking into account contract programme, style, specification, size and location all of which should comply with the technical package specification and current building regulations.
• To input the survey results into the company's surveying software and transfer these records to the Head Office system.
• Identify any specific site issues and record them on the survey software.
• Operate within the Divisions Health and Safety Policy.
• Comply with each contracts requirements and procedures relating to survey work.

Knowledge & Skill Levels

• Experience in surveying for replacement windows & doors.
• Good working knowledge of building regulations and their application in the replacement window/door industry.
• Good understanding of British Standards for survey and installation of external windows and door sets.
• PC skills to be able to adapt to company software systems.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in using industry specific design/manufacturing software.

Your new role

• The successful candidate will provide timely, high quality and commercial legal advice to the platform and financial advice businesses and central functions.
• You will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide breadth of commercial matters both contentious and non-contentious.

• Assisting the Head of Legal in relation to customer complaints and disputes as required.
• General commercial legal advice on any matter impacting the business.
• Sourcing and managing cost-effective external legal advice where required to protect business interests.
• Provision of specialist advice and guidance on relevant legal updates and legislative developments.
• Reporting effectively on legal issues and risk exposure and escalating actions as appropriate (e.g., under the Legal Risk Policy) and generally minimising exposure to litigation, risk and associated costs.
• Promoting the operational efficiency of the Legal team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Solicitor in England& Wales with 1-5 years PQE.
• Strong commercial contract experience including procurement contracts, IT contracts, supply agreements, etc.
• Candidate has dispute or commercial litigation experience would be desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, could provide legal advice to different stakeholders at different levels, also instruct the external counsel
• Team work and can manage diversified caseloads, and also prioritise the tasks in order to improve efficiency.
• Can be in the Southampton office at least 2 days a week.

Your new company
You will be working for a market-leading legal firm seeking a Legal Credit Controller to join their team to act as the main point of contact for billing and collection matters on a day-to-day basis to help maximise billings and collections.
Your new role

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues (fee earners/partners etc.) and undertake regular calls/meetings to discuss WIP and accounts receivable balances to drive performance across the firm
• Maintain SLA's (service level agreements) and adhere to the governance framework ensuring the accuracy of billing
• Maintain extensive knowledge of all significant WIP and debt balances; report on and analyse the effects as to the short and long-term financial goals of each office
• Notify partners regarding delinquent accounts and respond as directed.
• Play a key role in ensuring the firm is achieving its cash targets by managing and supporting the credit controllers.
• Monitor missing timesheets and incorrect time recording behaviour and ensure that missing timesheets are promptly followed up.
• Play a key role in ensuring the firm is successfully meeting all billing deadlines and proactively supporting the Revenue Manager.
• Where appropriate, manage E-Billing clients and ensure the timely submission of invoices through the relevant E-Billing portals.

What you'll need to succeed

• Full right-to-work in the UK with prior experience working within a UK finance team.
• Prior experience of 3E, EBillingHub or Elite Enterprise is an advantage but not necessary.
• Prior experience working within a professional services environment, with WIP management experience
• Experienced dealing with all levels
• Knowledge of standard billing practices and procedures
• Experience working with MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Systems change management experience desirable
