Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation requires an Project Support Officer at their site based in Gloucester. You will be supporting the Team in the delivery of Steam & Electrical projects supporting the AGR Life Extension Programmes, carrying this out across cross fleet / multi-station projects to maintain stock holding positions and the harvesting of spares from defueling stations to support the stations life time strategies. This support ranges from the purchase of new plant items to the refurbishment of ex-service items. All projects are delivered in line with the Investment Delivery Process (IDP) and accountable to the Strategic Spares Manager. You will work closely with the Strategic Spares Team to support the planning and delivery in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience in supporting Project Management/Project Engineering or relevant is essential.
- A relevant qualification is desirable.
- Posses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with Internal/External Stakeholders.
- Positive approach to learning and developing.
Role information:
- Supporting the Project Manager in monitoring and managing their projects - tracking progress against milestones, deadlines, budgets and provide key stakeholders with reports on these matters.
- Supporting the Project Managers through the Project Gated process, including production of Gated Papers, estimated costs and schedules.
- Providing Financial support for the delivery of the Portfolio ranging from Invoicing to Internal cost control.
- Assisting in providing Project Document Control to support the successfully deliver the Project scope.
- Managing the coordination of the OneRisk system for the Strategic Spares Portfolio.
- Supporting the Stock Management of Strategic Spares, ranging from stock cycle counting and reporting to the disposal of surplus assets.
- Assist the Team in the Administration of coordinating Meetings, Training, Visitors to Site and Travel Commitments for the Team.
- Travel to site and suppliers when required.
