About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
• Maximise efficiency by planning and overseeing the production process, monitoring production performance and labour variance to optimize labour allocation in the timely manufacture of high quality food products.
• Meet all quality and regulatory standards, working with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any production issues that impact quality.

• Develop the production staff team, with regular performance reviews, feedback and support to foster a culture of food safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunity and drive change to optimize production processes, reduce cost and enhance efficiency.
• Work alongside the procurement team to manage production inventory and resource.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and FDA requirements. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols alongside SHE team.
• Maintain accurate production records and generate regular reports, prepare and manage production budgets (including forecasting and cost control) and manage standard operating procedures across the production function.
You'll be a great fit if you:
âœ”ï¸ Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry
âœ”ï¸ Have experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
âœ”ï¸ Have a comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards
✔ï¸Can demonstrate a good history of driving continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and streamline processes
âœ”ï¸ Are proficient in using production management software and tools
This may not be the role for you if you:
Struggle in a fast-paced environment and remaining calm in a busy and demanding department.
Aren’t a self-starter. We’ll always be here to give direction but we love to see how you tackle things with your own thinking first!
Don’t have an eye for detail and process. We’re looking for someone that doesn’t like remaining comfortable with how things are done and can continuously analyse where improvements might be made.
Have not yet had an opportunity to lead a multi functioning team – this is a big and busy department that benefits from confident man management.
Do not have expertise in optimising workforce efficiency – we like to consistently achieve a positive labour variance with many moving parts.

Terms
