RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You’ll build the best team possible. • Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders ensuring accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience:  1 year in a manufacturing environment or poultry and prior supervisory experience preferred. 
• Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
• Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of
• personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or
• activities.
• Travel: 1-5 trips per year.

General Purpose:

Performs a variety of duties in the set-up and operation of equipment as defined in the work instructions for each process.

Principle Accountabilities:

* Reviews production schedules, process procedures and specifications regarding the sequential start-up, operation and control of automated equipment and peripheral hardware.

* Performs automated equipment set-up functions which include the loading of electronic components, raw cards, feeders, fixtures, stencils, chemicals, etc.

* Performs sequential start-up for the automated equipment and all peripheral hardware.

* Monitors the operation of the automated equipment and peripheral hardware. Initiates adjustments to ensure that the automated equipment and peripheral hardware operate within the established control limits.

* Monitors the shelf-life usage of perishable chemicals, moisture sensitive parts and raw card assemblies.

* Inspects quality levels of production on the automated equipment and peripheral hardware. Makes adjustments to equipment or hardware when workmanship drops below quality specifications. Initiate rework/repair activities on product that is substandard to the specifications.

* Records data required for statistical process control or inventory management.

* Performs preventive maintenance on the automated equipment and peripheral hardware at specified intervals and schedules.

* Performs sequential shutdown, including the cleaning of the automated equipment or peripheral hardware..

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement and distance. Typically requires advanced soldering and inspection skills and the ability to interpret and utilize blueprints. Demonstrates advanced manufacturing line skills, which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees.

SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Manager of Live Production to oversee breeder, growout, feedmill and hatchery operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of poultry production processes to ensure optimal performance in terms of quality, efficiency, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for breeder, growout, feedmill and hatchery operations aligned with overall organizational goals.
• Identify opportunities for expansion, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction.

Operational Leadership:

• Provide leadership and direction to breeder, growout, feedmill and hatchery production teams.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

Production Optimization:

• Extensive eight (8) plus years experience in poultry production management, with a focus on both growout and hatchery operations. Live poultry preferred.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of poultry health, nutrition, and biosecurity practices.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for production optimization.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to navigate and supervise operations in various environments, including breeder, growout, feedmill and hatchery facilities.

No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens, ducks, and birds. The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
• Supervisory: 15-20 plus salaried team members.
• Travel: Will be required to travel to all breeder, growout, feedmill and hatchery facilities within the specified region. Outside the region up to 10-12 times a year.

A fit candidate will have to relocate to Gonzales, TX or at least 50 miles near the location.
