The Trust is looking for a Maintenance Officer to join the Facilities Team, and provide support across all of our Trust sites.
The Maintenance Officers for the Lancashire Wildlife Trust (LWT) will be based out of our Brockholes Nature Reserve, but will provide support as and when needed at our other LWT sites across the North West. All sites vary in complexity from simple office spaces, to a state-of-the-art floating visitor centre, and each has their own systems. This role needs someone who has practical knowledge of Facilities management and compliance, but will also require someone who can work with a large variety of staff, customers, suppliers and volunteers. This role will mainly comprise of practical maintenance, but it will also include RAMS writing and supplier liaison, and will supervise volunteers in basic maintenance tasks. The role will require travel between our sites using an LWT vehicle to carry out statutory and emergency maintenance.
The successful applicant will have practical experience in maintenance and the ability to work in an organised and methodical manner. This role requires someone who will be dedicated to becoming an expert in the systems and processes in place across the various Trust sites, and the job holder will have the ability to build effective working relationships with peers, contractors and volunteers in order to deliver a successful maintenance schedule.
