We are looking for a Reserves Officer to join our team at Lunt Meadows to help us realise our conservation objectives on our managed nature reserves.
The Reserves Officer is needed to undertake practical conservation work, monitor habitats and species, supervise and train volunteers in a range of tasks and manage contractors.

We are looking for a dynamic, ‘can do’ attitude and experience of conservation management.

Lancashire Wildlife Trust is looking for two highly motivated individuals to join The West Pennines More Nature Partnership as Entry-Level Officers.

Entry-level Officers will gain experience in a wide array of areas; undertaking surveys alongside the Wildlife Survey Officer, attending farm visits and discussing options with the Farm Liaison Officers, exploring green/private finance with the Nature Finance Officer, organising community events with the Community Engagement Officer or assisting the Communications Officers to promote the project and publicise our work.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to then focus on a key personal development area with the chance to progress into a 6-month Project Officer role with the project.

The position is full time, working 35 hours per week. Occasional work outside of regular office hours such as evenings and weekends will be occasionally required.

We are looking an exceptional individual, capable of playing a role in supporting delivery of our expanding and busy peatland team.

The Peatland Programme Administrator will be a key role, for enabling the smooth delivery of LWT’s peatland programme and projects through the provision of a range of support services, including the co-ordination of project grant claims and reports, maintaining relationships with funding partners, and provide general support to the work of the Peatlands team to help it achieve its aims and objectives

The successful candidate will be a confident individual who is highly organised with excellent communication skills and experience of working with and reporting to funding partners.

The position is full time, working 35 hours per week, however reduced hours will be considered for the right candidate.

The Trust is looking for a Maintenance Officer to join the Facilities Team, and provide support across all of our Trust sites.

The Maintenance Officers for the Lancashire Wildlife Trust (LWT) will be based out of our Brockholes Nature Reserve, but will provide support as and when needed at our other LWT sites across the North West. All sites vary in complexity from simple office spaces, to a state-of-the-art floating visitor centre, and each has their own systems. This role needs someone who has practical knowledge of Facilities management and compliance, but will also require someone who can work with a large variety of staff, customers, suppliers and volunteers. This role will mainly comprise of practical maintenance, but it will also include RAMS writing and supplier liaison, and will supervise volunteers in basic maintenance tasks. The role will require travel between our sites using an LWT vehicle to carry out statutory and emergency maintenance.

The successful applicant will have practical experience in maintenance and the ability to work in an organised and methodical manner. This role requires someone who will be dedicated to becoming an expert in the systems and processes in place across the various Trust sites, and the job holder will have the ability to build effective working relationships with peers, contractors and volunteers in order to deliver a successful maintenance schedule.
