Maintains a safe working environment within the department and good internal and external communications with nursing staff and other hospital departments, referring any difficulties to be a pharmacist or senior member of staff. Participates in the topping-up service for drug distribution in the hospital and other off-site locations when required, updating records as necessary. What you’ll be doing as a Customer Sampling Technician

- You will take part in an out-of-hours roster which includes weekends working on a rota. (1 working weekend in 5).
- This role involves extensive travel between customers and sites, and you will be working as part of a busy team across a wide geographical area.
- It will be your responsibility to test water samples, and you’ll oversee managing the maintenance of your sampling records and sampling equipment to industry standards.

What you should bring to the role

As part of our Facilities & Maintenance Team, you will…

- Support our Maintenance Team to complete reactive, planned and preventative maintenance repairs
- Complete repairs to the internal and external fabric of holiday homes and buildings
- General plumbing, carpentry and glazing repairs
- Basic electrical and safe isolation
- Appliance repairs
- Provide quality workmanship and follow all Haven Health & Safety requirements whilst on the job

Experience and Qualifications
You may already be a Maintenance Technician or have existing commercial trades maintenance skills which is great or maybe you have gained the experience and knowledge in DIY and general maintenance repairs. All we are looking for is…

- Evidence of previous trade roles
- Full valid UK Driving Licence

What skills and experience we're looking for

Thistley Hough Academy is a mixed school catering for students aged 11-16 located in the village of Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent. The Academy joined the Creative Education Trust in September 2013 and is now one of Stoke-on-Trent’s most improved schools and is graded as Ofsted ‘good’.

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to deliver a practical, reliable, and efficient caretaking and maintenance service across the whole site and grounds.

The successful candidate will be someone with a commitment to Thistley Hough Academy and the Creative Education Trust’s ethos and values and will be able to plan and prioritise own work without direct supervision.

It is essential that the candidate demonstrates that they have the students’ well-being at the forefront of all that they do.
