As part of our Cleaning Services Team, you will…

- Support the Cleaning Services Team Manager with all, planning, preparation and activity attributed to the day-to-day operation of the Cleaning Services department
- Support with stock management and orders, team rota’s, recruitment and team training, budget performance, safety and legislative compliance checks
- Ensure the delivery of a clean and safe environment for our Guests, monitoring daily service and tasks, responding to feedback and addressing areas for improvement
- This is a hands on, varied role where you will be out on Park but will also support with administrative tasks related to the role

Pay Rates: £11.44 per hour

Experience and Qualifications
You may already have experience within Cleaning or Facilities Operations which is great! All we are looking for is…

- Previous experience of working within a large team
- The ability to work at pace and under pressure whilst remaining organised
- Experience of planning and organising operational tasks, stock control and managing budgets
- Can confidently deal with Guest concerns with the ability to resolve problems, show empathy and understanding

We’re looking for 2 x Cleaning & Caretaking Assistants to join our Site Property team on 6 month fixed term contracts (July-December).

About us
Brockhole on Windermere is located between Windermere and Ambleside on the shores of Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. We are a not-for-profit attraction run by the Lake District National Park Authority. All profits go towards keeping it special for future generations.

What’s it like to work here?
Brockhole sits on a 30-acre site with a lakeshore setting on Lake Windermere. It is a stunning location and has been developing its historic house and gardens to match. There is a real buzz around, particularly in the holidays with people from all generations having fun and making memories. As part of the Site Property team, you will be reporting to the Site Property Manager in this is a hands on role, helping to deliver a great visitor experience

The role
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Cleaning public and staff areas including toilets.
• Completing basic maintenance involving toilets/taps, woodwork, decorating, clearing gutters/drains etc
• Facilitating general waste and recycling management including litter picking and emptying bins.
• Completing health and safety checks.
• Facilitating contractor visits.

About you
This opportunity would suit someone who has previous experience in a similar role and has a good level of physical fitness due to the amount of walking and manual handling required for this role. Brockhole on Windermere can be a busy place to work, therefore you’ll have a flexible approach to work and a can-do attitude. You’ll have excellent time management and attention to detail. You’ll also enjoy working as part of a team, be able to follow instruction, and be willing to deliver great customer service to our visitors to maintain the Brockhole standards.
