WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
Role: Warehouse Operative, Permanent
Direct Report: Warehouse Supervisor located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week 8am – 4.30pm (1/2 hour lunch break)
Salary: £24,500 plus excellent benefits package plus annual bonus.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operative
Based at the Abingdon site, this is an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to support the daily operations and provide backup to team members in all general warehouse duties. The position sits with the Logistics team, which is growing significantly in line with overall company expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner
- Changing gas cylinders, refilling liquid nitrogen containers
- Support of regular warehouse supplies, warehousing, picking and internal distribution, returning of goods
- To ensure the warehouse ERP system is accurately maintained in terms of stock quantity, location, re-order optimal levels
- Supply of solvent and servicing labs
- Support company procedures for stock taking
- Provide support on other duties when required
- Physical Transfer of stock within Milton Park sites
- Maintain Good Housekeeping in the stores area and assist with 5S within the department.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:
- Driving License essential
- Ideally have experience with Warehouse ERP Systems
- Team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Previous warehouse operations experience, ideally in laboratories/ pharma
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications specifically Excel.
- Flexible, enthusiastic and reliable
- Proactive approach to work with the ability to problem solve issues.
- Positive attitude towards continuous improvement projects.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:
- Counter balance, VNA, Reach License
- IATA/ADR certification
- Experience and knowledge of COSHH regulations

Willingness, and ability to work non-standard business hours, such as evenings, weekends and holidays, on a very occasional basis is required.
