We are looking for a highly motivated EHS Advisor to join our team in Abingdon UK.

Hours & Days: Monday to Friday 40 hours per work

Reporting to the Head of EHS (UK), this role supports our vision for an effective, contemporary, and progressive Health, Safety and Environmental strategy for the Abingdon site. The role is part of a wider EHS Team and supports a wide variety of business functions and activities.  

Key Responsibilities or Core Accountabilities:

• Support the monitoring of compliance with procedures, legislation and general safe working practice through audits, inspections, and other appropriate monitoring.
• Perform safety inductions (Employee and Contractor) and where appropriate support the on-going development of the Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing training programme.
• Assist in the delivery of suitable and sufficient risk assessments, accident / incident investigations, reporting, and training.
• Provision of service to departments on matters of Environment Health and Safety (EHS)
• May assist in training other employees in their specialised area.
• Key Responsibilities

Abingdon site

Helping to manage and deploy the EH&S Management System for Abingdon site. Leading, owning, or coaching to conduct assurance activities such as

• Enabling stakeholders in their H&S risk assessments as part of the global and UK Risk Register framework.
• Enable or deliver both proactive and reactive risk management techniques striving to learn where both success and errors lie in our operations through post-event investigations.
• Support the sites’ interactions with external bodies, e.g., fire brigade and enforcement agencies.
• Responding to environmental or safety emergencies.
• Proactive risk management e.g., resilience or ‘stress-testing’ our EHS managements systems and procedures.
• Assurance activities such as audits and inspections to assure the level of engagement, compliance, and senior management commitment.
• Assist with compliance with UK legislation and specific EHS permits as appropriate.
• Influencing behaviours and work practices.
• May assist in Occupational Hygiene / Environmental monitoring programmes.

Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:

• A natural enjoyment of collaborating with people, highly empathetic.
• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working within a Health and Safety Management System is required.
• Experience operating with ISO45001 accreditation is desirable.
• NEBOSH certificate holder or working towards.
• Experience working in a life science, pharmaceutical, CRO, food, hospital or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of human factors in Health & Safety is advantageous.

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

Role: Warehouse Operative, Permanent

Direct Report: Warehouse Supervisor located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week 8am – 4.30pm (1/2 hour lunch break)

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operative

Based at the Abingdon site, this is an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to support the daily operations and provide backup to team members in all general warehouse duties. The position sits with the Logistics team, which is growing significantly in line with overall company expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner
• Changing gas cylinders, refilling liquid nitrogen containers
• Support of regular warehouse supplies, warehousing, picking and internal distribution, returning of goods
• To ensure the warehouse ERP system is accurately maintained in terms of stock quantity, location, re-order optimal levels
• Supply of solvent and servicing labs
• Support company procedures for stock taking
• Provide support on other duties when required
• Physical Transfer of stock within Milton Park sites
• Maintain Good Housekeeping in the stores area and assist with 5S within the department.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:

• Driving License essential
• Ideally have experience with Warehouse ERP Systems
• Team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Previous warehouse operations experience, ideally in laboratories/ pharma
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications specifically Excel.
• Flexible, enthusiastic and reliable
• Proactive approach to work with the ability to problem solve issues.
• Positive attitude towards continuous improvement projects.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:

• Counter balance, VNA, Reach License
• IATA/ADR certification
• Experience and knowledge of COSHH regulations

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior SAP Functional Analyst (all genders), to join our team in Abingdon UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping design and support Sales and project processes run on SAP S4 HANA.

Responsibilities:

• Build, document, and support sales & operations processes in SAP S4HANA
• Focus on process standardization, harmonization, and process efficiency, applying SAP best industry practices
• Assess, design, communicate, test and train new processes working with functional area managers/users
• Hands-on Role – Execute Sales and operations related configuration in core ERP, functional documentation, testing plans, and training materials
• Work collaboratively with a cross functional team of Functional Analysts, architects, business process experts and external consultants to deliver SAP functions
• Support and manage business change requests to ensure continuous process improvements

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Business Administration or Business Economics or a comparable qualification
• Minimum of 8 years SAP functional experience in OTC  modules
• Minimum of 2 S/4HANA implementation project experience 
• Expertise in OTC Best Practices including conducting demos and writing test scripts
• Expertise in implementation of Financial Accounting (FI) and Managerial Accounting (CO)
• Expertise in Fiori Apps
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Experience with supporting SAP S/4HANA
• Expertise in a GxP and Sox controlled environment
