Assistant Store Manager – Alnwick

What’s the role?
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be a vital member of the store management team. You will be a Duty Manager and take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Deputy or Store Manager. You will be involved in absolutely everything of the store's running, such as recruitment, stock control and store standards. Your Store Manager will empower you to ensure that your team are maximising sales and performance across all primary KPI's. You will lead from the front with a hands-on approach. You will inspire your team, inject fun into the workplace and create a truly fantastic place to shop and work.

Who are we looking for?
• Experienced in working within the retail sector with a minimum of 6 months hands-on supervisory/management experience.
• Flexible. Due to the nature of working within a busy retail environment, we need you to have the ability to work a flexible shift pattern across 7 days a week.
• Passionate for retail and has a proven track record of delivering high standards and great results.
• A team player with excellent communication skills to engage and inspire your team.
• Ready to take on 6 months of industry-leading training covering all the key aspects of the role, handling and caring for Pets, Customer Service and Health and Safety.

Full training will be given for this role. You will be carrying out servicing and safety checks on hot tubs and getting involved with installing hot tubs, swim spas and saunas. Your day will start and end at our showroom in Cramlington and you will have the use of a van to travel to your daily scheduled jobs. You will need to have great customer service skills and be passionate about carrying out your work to a high standard. The role involves using hand tools to access the working areas of the hot tub, using chemicals to treat and clean the hot tub, and carrying out detailed safety checks. You will create a report following each service. Once trained you will be working on your own so must be able to use your initiative. During the working week you will also be involved with installation of hot tubs, swim spa's and saunas where you will work as part of our energetic and friendly team. Full training will be given for the role and there is further training available if you wish to grow your skills and move up the ranks.
We are looking for somebody ideally 32 hours per week over 4 days, Tuesday to Friday, however hours and days could be negotiable.

•To ensure the Council’s Corporate Contract Register and electronic procurement systems are accurately maintained, and that information is accurately recorded in a timely manner.
•Contribute to the induction, appraisal, training, and development of less experienced colleagues, acting as coach and mentor as necessary.
•Individually and as part of the team provide general office support, handling mail, dealing with callers/visitors, filing, photocopying, collation, fax, lamination, binding,
•Maintaining and issuing stock in accordance with corporate and service standards.
•Develop administrative systems to meet specific local requirements.
•Maintain information systems such as filing, service, client or asset records, booking systems and reference materials in a manner that ensures accuracy, confidentiality,
