Your New Role:

You will ensure that Portsmouth City Council meets its statutory compliance duties to its HRA residential stock, and that Legionella Risk Assessments are in place for all relevant buildings and installations and are regularly reviewed and updated. You will provide advice to designers, technical professionals and contractors when designing and installing new or amended water installations. You will develop, implement, monitor and review policies and procedures in relation to Water Hygiene compliance activities, and manage data, documentation and certification in relation to Water Hygiene Compliance. You will work to continually improve the service and strive for 100% compliance in all service areas. You will facilitate training and support across Building Services, remain up to date with changes to legislation and the wider industry, and support the procurement of consultants, service providers and contractors.

What you'll need to succeed:

You have a qualification in Water Hygiene or other suitable engineering field, together with relevant practical experience in a similar role. You have an excellent working knowledge of applicable legislation and guidance, and experience of preparing and developing policies and guidance documents to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. You have technical knowledge of water systems and experience of preparing and undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments.

You have experience of using relevant data management systems and managing consultants and contractors. Whether you drive on motorways or major A-roads the staff in our Regional Operations Centre up and down the country are looking after you. Our trained Operators are the first point of contact when people ring an emergency roadside telephone, or if they breakdown or get into an accident and need assistance. They also set signs and signals, respond to alerts and urgent road defects, and make sure our road workers get on the network safely to conduct maintenance and upgrades. We do all this with great pride and passion, connecting businesses and families up and down the country. It is safe to say that no day is the same in our Regional Operations Centres.

We’re looking for people to join our diverse and energetic team to manage our road networks in the East Midlands region, where you’ll be based at our Regional Operations Centre in Nottingham

You’ll be working with emergency services personnel, recovery companies, our very own Traffic Officers, our highways works personnel, and even motorists who have broken down or been involved in incidents. We expect you to be professional at all times yet highly motivated in providing a friendly and positive service.

Our Regional Operations Centre operates 24/7, 365 days of the year, so our operators work 6 days on, 3 days off and shifts consist of a variety of shifts.

The starting salary for this role is up to £33,387.50 (made up of base salary plus 25% shift allowance) increasing to up to £34,762.50 (made up of base salary plus 25% shift allowance) after 9 months probation.

What you’ll be leading on

Answering emergency roadside calls
Mobilising On Road teams, such as Traffic Officers, Inspectors and Maintenance Contractors, to emergencies and other
requests
Transmitting and receiving messages via the radio to Traffic Officers and Emergency Services
Instructing our contractors to repair urgent defects and damage from incidents
Informing other emergency services and utility companies where required.
Monitoring and managing incidents from start to finish
Maintaining accurate incident logs by recording information gathered from multiple sources
Carrying out other administrative duties as required to help the safe running and operation of the network and the Regional Operations Centre

£27,900 weekly paid role with overtime available after 40 hours per week paid at £16.78 per hour

Our client, an established family-owned business, who are going through a substantial growth period have identified the need to recruit a Quality Assurance Co-ordinator this is an excellent opportunity as the company is investing heavily into the site with robotics and automation, whilst continuing to be committed to their customers, staff and the environment. They are based on the outskirts of Mansfield so own transport is essential and current driving license is a prerequisite for the role as you will be out and about each day, a company vehicle is provided to carry out all company business.


Job role

- Visiting client sites in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Shropshire, and East Anglia to obtain product and water samples
- Completing routine analysing on the products back in the factory in line with specifications

Quality controllers wanted for our clients food production firm based out of Bilsthorpe.

As a quality controller you will be responsible for overseeing the standards, hygine and quality of products are meeting the companies standards. To do this you will perform daily checks using the house app and will conduct checks such as torque tests and product weight checking. You will work closely with the site manager and production manager.

You must have relevant experience to be successfull in your application. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record with quality control.

Permanent

Monday to Friday (40hrs week) with 06:30 start times. Overtime is also available.

Your basic rate of pay willl be £12.74 plus 28 days holiday pro rata.
