The Clinical Research Fellow Post is a demanding but exciting opportunity in a busy quaternary vascular centre. The aim of the post is to facilitate delivery of national research projects by leading recruitment to trials and participating in the regular research team meetings. Overall, this post will provide core research skills for onward application to higher training. The post will enable the applicant to participate in research projects and opportunities with a view to outputs such as presentations and potentially publications. The clinical aspect to the research post will be to support the SHO/RSO level on-call rota in General Surgery, and support the Vascular Surgery team in elective work.

This exciting job is primarily aimed at developing the applicants curriculum vitae to enable onward application into higher surgical training. The research focus will be on participation in national vascular research studies by recruitment to trials. There will be the option of developing in-house research projects with supervision from academic vascular colleagues.
