Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.

As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, you will:

• Direct the group's production of strategic and or long-term intelligence products that identify and analyze information on foreign terrorist groups, WMD proliferators, criminal and rogue regime networks, and other entities and topics of US national security interest to assess implications for U.S. interests and opportunities for U.S. policy.
• Balance competing priorities and maintain adequate production pace regarding the production of assigned projects.
• Drive intelligence collection on the group's areas of responsibility.
• Work closely with other OIA and Intelligence Community components to ensure the needs of Treasury policymakers are met and provide regular feedback on intelligence reporting.
• Be responsible for all personnel matters relating to the Group. These include but are not limited to directly supervising branch chiefs, the annual evaluation process for analysts in each branch, mentoring, training, and developing performance standards and evaluations for employees.
• Represent the Department of the Treasury and the Office of Intelligence and Analysis in senior-level internal and interagency meetings, including IC working groups on issues related to the specific areas of responsibility of the office.
• Develop partnerships with other relevant Treasury and intelligence community elements and collaborates with such partners as appropriate.

• You will provide cost estimating and analysis products and services to SSP senior leadership and branches.
• You will produce thorough, accurate estimates and analyses of cost to support milestone reviews.
• You will represent Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) on Navy-level cost process councils and stakeholder groups, as appropriate.
• You will maintain liaison with technical Branch managers and engineers, Integrated Product Team leads, and senior contractor representatives to ensure that proposals and contracts reflect accurate cost requirements.
• You will develop, review, and coordinate assigned cost estimating and analysis products and services supporting SSP Acquisition Program(s) and initiatives and other reporting requirements.
• You will develop databases and cost models comprising of both commercial off the shelf hardware and software tailored as appropriate.
• You will work with branch managers and engineers to evaluate industry partner proposals for cost realism and/or other cost related areas
• You will participate in a broad range of cost and affordability efforts, economic analyses and major study efforts directed by higher authority (e.g. ASN RDA) to identify and assess program cost and schedule growth.

Designs and manages the most effective means of tracking and summarization of diverse and complex statistical data structures or major components of a large scale data series.

Independently plans and conducts descriptive and complex multi- variate data analysis on specific subjects relating to crime and the administration of justice.

Authors original and creative reports which require minimal edits and little or no substantive changes, and which represent a finished product reflecting a high order of professional competence.

Provides specific technical recommendations to higher-level Bureau staff on efficiencies and economics associated with the available storage and computing environments for particular data collection programs.

Identifies and recommends new opportunities for statistical research and development particularly as they relate to improving the substantive knowledge about the criminal justice systems and the administration of justice.
