Job Summary:
The Accounts Assistant will support the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.
Job Description:
• Reports to Senior Finance Manager
• Perform book-keeping using Sage 300
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including financial summaries, commentaries, and variance analysis as well as other relevant reports within stipulated deadlines.
• Reviewing transactions and documentation to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, budgetary controls & cost allocation.
• Perform monthly reconciliations- bank, intercompany
• Prepare and ensure timely submission of indirect taxes (SST, withholding tax, etc) to the relevant authorities.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government bodies for audit, taxation, and financial matters.
· Work with a team of accounting staff to ensure the smooth running of daily
Qualifications:
Education:
- Degree in Accounting or Professional Accounting Certificate or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA are a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary range: $2500 to $3000
