A clinical decontamination centre in Aylesford is now looking for a Driver to join them and help ensure important medical equipment is efficiently collected, cleaned and returned, ready for the next procedure.
The centre is an important site for sterile services, where trained technicians process vital medical equipment from hospitals across London and the South East – both NHS and private – to be safely reused.
As a Driver, you will:
• Collect ‘dirty’ trolleys from hospitals and clinics, delivering them to the main facility and then returning ‘clean’ trolleys with sterilised trays;
• Operate and maintain your assigned vehicle(s), keeping accurate records;
• Provide reliable, courteous customer service with safety a top priority; and
• Carry other packages or goods between hospitals or units as required.
The decontamination centre is itself part of an independent medical care network, meaning that you will be eligible to receive both a leading rewards package and private healthcare support at member hospitals when you join the team.
This is a permanent, full-time (37.5h) Driver role with a flexible shift pattern. The working day is split into multiple shifts, covering the period 4am - 10pm; enhanced pay rates will be awarded for early hours before 7am, late finishes after 8pm, and weekends/bank holidays.
Person specification:
• (Essential) Full UK driving licence with no points – every employee driving on behalf of the business must submit their driving licence on an annual basis for a DVLA check. Drivers must hold a clean Class B licence (manual cars & vehicles ≤3500kg) to operate company vans.
• (Essential) The ability to undertake lifting duties as required.
• (Essential) Experience of using a tail lift and driving long wheelbase vans (LWB).
