The Audit Manager is an intermediate level role responsible for supporting the newly formed IA Methodology and Audit Life Cycle team to ensure that the IA Methodology is effective and efficient and helping the IA team deliver on its mandate. The overall team objective is to ensure that IA’s Methodology and Audit Life Cycle is robust, compliant with industry and regulatory standards, meeting expectations of all stakeholders internally and externally, and ultimately delivering value to the function and in turn the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Constantly evaluate where opportunities exist to simplify, strengthen and improve the methodology, processes and requirements, which in turn support IA’s delivery of robust assurance
• Design methodology-based-requirements for IA’s systems and operational processes
• Lead small to medium complex projects to deliver and implementation of methodology related changes
• Partner with all teams within IA to ensure the Methodology is effective and efficient across the end-to-end Audit Life Cycle
• Collaborate  with 1st and 2nd lines of defense on governance, risk and compliance initiatives across the 3 lines of defense
• Maintain and constantly enhance the tools that support the Methodology e.g., job aids, guidance, templates and chatbot
• Proactively engage with all stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure expectations are understood and met
• Contribute to the remediation of methodology related issues which arise and proactively contribute to IA’s robust internal control environment
• Use communication skills to influence a wide range of internal audiences, and provide team training and briefings
• Serve as an SME to senior stakeholders and IA  colleagues, including consulting with and advising audit teams in unique or complex situations

Qualifications:

• Audit Manager experience
• Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or similar) preferred
• Understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors’ International Professional Practices Framework, including the IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards). (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal, written and negotiation skills
• Effective project management skills
• Effective influencing and relationship management skills

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Citi Internal Audit (IA) provides independent assessments of Citi’s control environment, risk management and governance for key stakeholders including Citi’s board of directors, senior management and external regulators. We’re currently looking for a high calibre professional to join the IA Business Control team as Vice President, IA Business Controls Manager, based in Dublin, Ireland. The IA Business Controls is a team within IA’s Chief Operating Office (COO) that is an essential component in enabling IA’s consistent adoption of firm-wide risk and control standards, frameworks and policies, including dedicated controls governance and legal expertise.

Key responsibilities of this role include supporting key strategic and control initiatives; participating and performing control monitoring; enhancing and maintaining the IA Activity, Risk, Control and Monitoring Tool (ARCM) inventory; and assisting in preparation of the IA Business Risk and Control Committee (BRCC) reporting. This role reports directly to the IA Risk and Control Senior Manager and is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a keen interest to learn and make a difference.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the execution of Annual Risk Assessment, Quarterly Risk Assessment and Continuous Risk Management processes as part of the Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) process.
• Maintain and enhance the IA MCA with regards to completeness, quality, and mapping to regulatory requirements by interacting with various internal / external stakeholders.
• Support the MCA transformation programme for IA through the completion of high quality, timely deliverables, participation in relevant transformation governance forums and completion of User Acceptance Testing as required.
• Apply an in-depth understanding of IA standards, policies, and technology in accordance with Citi IA methodology and risk management standards.
• Support the execution of strategic departmental initiatives, demonstrating effective project management, including establishment of needed reporting and KPIs to measure ongoing project success.
• Collaborate across the IA Business Controls team and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual (and ad-hoc) reporting.
• Provide advisory support to audit teams to support the effective design, execution, and implementation of remediation.
• Partner with IA Digital Solutions & Innovation to identify opportunities for automated monitoring as well as other strategic initiatives.

Team/Role Overview

The Cash Reconciliations team manage the reconciliation of incoming and outbound Issuer Services Payments over a number of different reconciliation platforms where we offer Depository servicing, Issuing & Paying agency services and Specialized Agency functions such as Account Bank, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Escrow Agent functions.

Any exceptions identified as part of the reconciliation process are required to be investigated / categorised and reported in accordance with Citi’s standard protocols. The team is responsible for identifying exceptions and actively investigating to resolution.

What you’ll do

The Section Manager is a senior management level position.  You will be responsible for managing risk by overseeing cash reconciliations and exception management process.  You will also lead the regional team, collaborating with colleagues in other regions and working with technology to incorporate enhancements and recommend/drive operational change and improvements. You will also:

• Review cash exceptions daily to ensure team is appropriately raising and resolving
• Identify, lead and mitigate operational risks and raise risk /services issues on a timely basis
• Provide detailed analysis of escalated issues when necessary and recommend actions for resolution
• Contribute to processing standards and expectations for securities and derivatives processing teams
• Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures that offer solutions and cost saving opportunities
• Propose solutions to implement settlement process improvements, enhancements, or overall technology enhancements
• Coordinate with internal and external clients to assess service quality and identify areas for improvement

What we’ll need from you

• Reconciliation experience
• Financial Services experience. Payments or documentation review experience would be of benefit.
• Ideally from an Operations background with a broad understanding of banking operations and securities.
• Knowledge of Agency and Trust Operations would be advantageous
• Strong investigative and analytical skills.
• A strong understanding of Operational Risk related functions and processes – payments experience.
• Proven ability to execute
• Excellent people management and leadership skills with team building capabilities
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills; ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships.

Team/Role Overview

Your team will be accountable and responsible for operational oversight of the closing and servicing of all loan transactions of the business division being supported to ensure all internal and external requirements are met.

What you’ll do

The Transaction Manager is responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the lending lifecycle including but not limited to loan closing and servicing coordination, facilitating complex client onboarding, data management, and quality control.

• Understanding and awareness of appropriate corporate and regulatory policies in relation to Lending

• Focus on achieving/exceeding key operating standards within a KPI/metrics driven culture

• Experience within a large global team supporting wholesale lending at large financial Institution

• Understanding of end to end operational processes supporting Wholesale lending

• Knowledge of wholesale loan (syndicated / bilateral) product and business, including an understanding of legal loan documentation, loan / funding mechanics, deal structure, funds flows, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the build and development team to support loan origination and lifecycle management which includes large complex syndicated and bilateral loans covering but not limited to corporate, commercial, real estate, structured lending and trade.
• Assist with the creation of processes, standards, procedures, controls, training, and implementation of transaction management.
• Aid in the design and implementation of technology including testing and rollout.
• Provide training and support to transaction management staff and business constituents.
• Partner with each of the originating and coverage business lines, credit risk, operations, legal, etc.
• Ensure that quality of data, controls and processes performed meet internal policies and regulatory requirements/expectations.
• Work with lines of business, transaction management, and loan operations to define and implement operational metrics and risk and control reviews to ensure all stakeholders have end to end transparency.
• Constantly improve processes, controls and efficiencies within the group and front to back across loan lifecycle
• Participate in projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Take part in loan remediation and loan system testing / migrations.
• Actively manage and maintain a deal closing pipeline of loan transactions.
• Coordinate and close loan transactions/lifecycle events, capture data, store documentation, troubleshoot issues/roadblocks, perform quality control
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• Individual must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Individual must work well under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and complete assigned tasks with minimal management follow up. 
• Candidate has quantitative skills with a high proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft based programs.
