As a ASOC Interface & Procedural Control Instructor, GS-2101-11 you will:

Perform the full range of WG-5823-10 duties and responsibilities. Possess the knowledge and skills found at the journey level as well as those required for planning, accomplishing, and maintaining a functional shop maintenance program.

Plan and lay out work to be accomplished in the shop, which is then completed by the incumbent and lower graded mechanic(s). Independently determine appropriate maintenance procedures such as how and when the work should be accomplished. Estimate manpower, equipment and material requirements. As a Security Specialist, GS-0080-09, you will:

Plan, organize, and direct security police activities. Plan, organize and direct activities and programs to support base activities such as; security, resource protection, law enforcement, and information security programs. Coordinate and develop contingency plans for confrontation management, base defense, information and personnel security and resource protection plans. Coordinate the deployment of personnel and individual and unit equipment. Develop and implement policies to ensure program effectiveness and efficient use of personnel and equipment. Coordinate detailed procedures and instructions for such functions as prevention of unauthorized entry of restricted areas and mission essential resources, use of personnel and equipment. Administer security police training programs. Plan for the employment of electronic physical security equipment to ensure the most efficient and economical devices are implemented to achieve required levels of security consistent with existing threat levels.

Initiate programming and budgeting actions for initial acquisition, modification, and replacement of security police facilities, vehicles, equipment, and other resources.

Direct security police activities. Assign and direct security police personnel in emergency operations, including security, law enforcement, and air base defense; crash and disaster control activities; and civil or internal disorders. Analyze security police facilities, sensor and alarm systems, vehicles, weapons, and other equipment to ensure operational effectiveness. As an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, WG-6501-12, you will:

Manages and directs the EOD Flight functions. Plans, develops, and publishes local EOD policies and procedures within established local controls and those of higher command echelons. Ensures timely, effective, and complete accomplishment of all mission requirements. Independently determines appropriate maintenance procedures such as how and when work should be accomplished.

Provides administrative and technical direction and supervision to one or more subordinate technician(s) and drill status guardsmen (DSG). Provides recommendations and input to the supervisor concerning personnel actions. Interviews and participates in selecting applicants for subordinate positions under direction of the Base Civil Engineer. Establishes EOD work performance standards and annual performance evaluations for the Base Civil Engineer. Initiates disciplinary and promotion actions for subordinate(s). Initiates and reviews recommendations for performance awards. Approves sick and annual leave. Counsels subordinate(s), explains personnel policies, hears grievances, and resolves work issues. Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the EOD flight both by the incumbent and lower graded worker(s). Determines approaches, methods, and courses of action required to accomplish the mission of the function in an effective and efficient manner. Estimates time, equipment, and material requirements.

Prepares cost estimates and financial needs for the EOD Flight; reviews military and civilian manpower requirements, facility and equipment needs, military contingency requirements, and operability needs for assigned tasks to meet flight requirements.

Ensures the EOD Flight is organized, trained, and equipped for worldwide contingency deployment and all base support requirements to include; Survival Recovery Center Operations, unexploded ordnance render safe procedures and disposal. Develops and provides plans and coordinates with Federal, state, and local authorities as well as with other base organizations in combating criminal and terrorist devices to include Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). Provides technical intelligence by exploiting unknown weapons systems and devices for world-wide dissemination to other EOD organizations and the FBI Bomb Data Center, as required. This includes assigning initial security classifications and any derivative classifications to materials and accompanying data; and planning for and coordinating with organizations to provide a major accident response capability for on and off base DoD and non-DoD incidents involving aircraft, explosive ordnance and hazardous materials.

Provides safety oversight for over 1000 employees of the wing regarding weapons safety issues, munitions familiarization, explosive ordnance reconnaissance, base recovery after attack, bomb threats, bomb discoveries, etc. Establishes, develops, coordinates, and reviews base-wide educational and awareness programs. Plans and conducts informative public awareness seminars for Federal, state and local civilian law enforcement personnel/agencies.

Plans and establishes local procedures for protection of high-risk munitions during off-base movements. Develops local procedures for the protection, reproduction, and destruction of classified documents and components to include COMSEC. Plans, develops, and reviews procedures in group/wing level instruction to provide guidance in EOD Response Procedures and Assistance to Civil Authorities.

Assigns, evaluates and reviews lesson plans prepared by subordinates on methods and procedures of operation for which the flight is responsible. Determines overall equipment, material, training aids, and reference data needed and ensures they are available for unit training assemblies (UTA). Reviews and certifies training records, and evaluates training effectiveness. Recommends formal training and rotation of assignments, where necessary, to raise skill levels and experience of assigned guardsmen. Plans and prepares readiness evaluations as required by higher headquarters. Develops processes for and continually reviews methods and procedures to ensure all Unit Type Code (UTC) tasking is met for contingency purposes.
Ensures that specialized tools and equipment are available to accomplish assigned tasks. Determines the need for and requisitions equipment, specialized tools, personal equipment, and supplies to support the unit function. Prepares and submits annual and five-year munitions forecasts for three separate munitions accounts. Maintains and continually reviews custody and expenditure records to ensure required explosives are on hand for training, operational and contingency plans.

Ensures occupational safety and fire prevention measures are continually reviewed and updated for compliance and directing corrective actions as required.

As a POLICE OFFICER, GS-0083-08, you will perform combat Arms Training. Present repetitive courses or designated blocks of longer courses and presents training material and instruction covering proper use of handguns, rifles, machine guns and other base defense/ground combat skills equipment, in accordance with approved lesson plans and course control documents. Instruction may take place in outdoor or indoor training facilities and will require multiple police/combat agility skill demonstrations. Instructor makes adjustments in presentation or other instructional methods to resolve common classroom problems, to include those of student motivation and communication, as well as, last minute agenda schedule or student
changes, student problems, equipment malfunctions, or lack of supplies. Use training aids and devices in addition to those listed in the POI in a manner that enhances training outcome. You will manage and oversee the installation ground weapons training and maintenance program; serve as an instructor and inspects ground weapons. Physical Demands:

This position is located in the Environmental Management function at ARNG/ANG bases. Serves as the installation environmental program manager, providing expert technical advice directly to the Commander on National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Installation Restoration Program (IRP), Air Space, Hazardous Waste and various other environmental programs. Represents the commander at various installation environmental meetings to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and federal, state, and local statutes. Serves as the single point of contact for the initiation, development, and execution of all environmental activities and development of installation regulatory guidance. Accomplishes long range base planning of environmental programs.

• Serves as the Environmental Program Manager for the ARNG/ANG and supported tenants which involves the implementation and monitoring of various environmental programs as outlined in ARNG/ANG regulations, directives and policy guidance such as: air and water permitting, Installation Compatible Use Zone Studies (ICUZ), solid and hazardous waste disposal and handling programs, pollution control, PCB disposal management, underground storage tank management , Environmental Compliance Assessment and Management Program (ECAMP), Installation Restoration Program (IRP), cultural and natural resources, endangered species, historical sites and archeology management, etc. Interprets and implements policy and directives. Identifies and resolves environmental problems to include the development of Environmental Assessments EA), Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, etc. and managing all programs properly to ensure environmental compliance. Reviews plans, specification designs, etc. prepared for the purpose of ensuring conformance with environmental standards.
• Coordinates ARNG/ANG level facility environmental plans, programs and projects. Serves as primary point of contact to regulatory agencies on environmental matters to civilian authorities for installation project development that may have an impact on surrounding communities dictated by the National Environmental Policy ACT (NEPA); for federal, state and local notification of air and water quality construction, toxic and hazardous waste permits and other environmental projects; and initial and ongoing installation restoration program (IRP) efforts.
• Serves as the ARNG/ANG contact and spokesperson with local, federal and state regulators. Develops regulations and directives and management plans required to establish an environmental program that complies with federal, state, and local regulations. Uses agency directives as broad policy in developing these regulations.
• Functions as the ARNG/ANG Environmental Management Coordinator and responsible for developing and managing the base environmental program to conform to federal, state, and local rules and regulations (e.g., 29 CFR (OSHA), 40 CFR (EPA) and 49 CFR (DOT)). This position is located in the Air National Guard (ANG) Wing, Comptroller Flight. This is an ANG National Guard (ANG) Title 5 position. The purpose of this position is plan, coordinate, and perform comprehensive Financial Management analysis, decision support and quality reviews, of base level accounting and financial management programs. Work involves preparing, analyzing, interpreting, presenting, and advising on accounting and financial data. The incumbent concurrently organizes and administers the operation of automated financial systems in support of financial management functions. The work requires a professional knowledge of accounting theories, principles, and practices. Duties performed are in support of state and Federal ANG operations, training, and readiness missions.

• Develops contingency, crisis action, and exercise planning products, specifically the medical annex (or equivalent medical appendices) for Operational Plans (OPLANS), Concept Plans (CONPLANS) and supporting plans based on requirements by applying military medical readiness and medical logistics expertise and in coordination with higher/lateral headquarters.

As an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN), GS-2210-12, you will develop, modifie, and test overall system backup and recovery strategies for all systems.Serves as the technical expert and focal point for installation, configuration and testing of hardware and software associated with multiple operating systems and computer platforms. Provides technical assistance and analysis to other IT personnel involved in system design, programming, database performance, and adapting commercially available software. Determines equipment requirements, communications, and interfaces with other systems. Evaluates machine usage based on current usage patterns and develops plans for the acquisition of hardware and software needed to support future IT requirements. Serves as the senior systems administrator responsible for planning, coordinating, modifying, implementing, and troubleshooting to support customer needs. As a IT SPEC (SYSADMIN) with the Texas National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• As required, accomplishes risk analysis, accreditation, and certification packages to include disaster recovery plan in accordance with agency requirements. Performs, as required, or assists Information Assurance personnel in conducting risk analysis and security tests and evaluations. Works with other security officers, users, Network Control Center (NCC) personnel, and other support personnel to ensure security regulations are followed. Ensures installation, command, and agency security standards are met. Ensures compliance with all Air Force Computer Emergency Response Team, Time Compliance Network Orders Air Force Electronic Key Management System, and other mandated security updates.
• Develops, establishes, and maintains work center training programs. Plans and schedules tasks and training activities for drill status guard members. Oversees and conducts on-the-job training (OJT) for personnel. Creates and develops lesson plans. Ensures availability of facilities and training aids. Monitors the training status of personnel and ensures that supplemental and/or remedial training is accomplished.
• Ensures mobilization readiness of section personnel and equipment. Fabricates cables and connectors to interface with various commercial and military electronic systems and sub-systems. Completes proper documentation and follows procedures for incident reporting. Completes maintenance data collection and performs administrative duties for TO and work center files. Manages bench stock, logistics products, historical records, training records, Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) records, hazardous waste, and safety procedures.
• As required, employee performs some limited supervisory functions over subordinate staff through the planning, assignment, and review of work; granting of leave; providing recommendations on training requirements, performance standards, and ratings; and effecting minor disciplinary actions such as warnings and reprimands.

As an IT Specialist (Network), GS-2210-11, you will serve as a base systems administrator to monitor the Local and Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN), including the planning, analysis, acquisition, design, development, implementation, quality assurance, configuration, installation, integration, maintenance testing, operational integrity, and/or management of networked systems for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is located at an in the Air National Guard (ANG) wing, in the Operations Section of a Base Communications Unit.
