CNC Recruitment is seeking skilled Assembly Operatives for our client in Wincanton area - a global company specialized in the repair, refurbishment and remarketing of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment in the IT, banking and retail sectors.
The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and refurbishing laptops and ATMs. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to technical instructions and safety protocols.
Duties:
- Disassemble and reassemble laptops and ATMs according to detailed technical blueprints and schematics.
- Install and replace hardware components such as motherboards, processors, memory modules, hard drives, and other peripheral components.
- Clean, refurbish, and recondition parts and assemblies to meet quality standards.
- Ensure all units are reassembled correctly and functioning properly.
- Perform functional tests on repaired and refurbished units to ensure all components are operating correctly.
- Diagnose and repair any assembly issues or defects.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot hardware problems.
- Document any issues found and actions taken to resolve them.
- Inspect assembled and refurbished products for any defects or deviations from specifications.
- Ensure all assembled products meet company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document any defects and take corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, repairs, and refurbishments.
- Prepare and submit reports on production status, issues, and improvements
- Follow standard operating procedures and update documentation as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
-Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety training sessions and emergency drills.
Personal specification:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electronics, computer technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in assembly, refurbishment, or repair of electronic or electro-mechanical equipment, particularly in the IT, banking, or retail sectors, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with laptop and/or ATM components and assembly processes is a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of precision in assembly tasks.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use software for testing and diagnostics.
