An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Respiratory and Sleep Clinical Physiologist to assist with the management and development of respiratory and sleep clinical physiological services at Ipswich Hospital. You will also be responsible for the day to day management of the Lung Function Unit alongside and in the absence of the Lead Respiratory Clinical Physiologist.
You will be expected to provide highly specialist clinical physiological knowledge and interpretation of a range of diagnostic and analytic studies within the respiratory and sleep services.
As the deputy lead for the respiratory and sleep services, you will have a duty to deliver and develop the service as set out in the Trust’s plan, as well as having managerial responsibilities for both services and the team.
• Perform simple, specialised, complex and highly complex respiratory and sleep diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as per the attached job description
• Assist with the management and development of respiratory and sleep clinical physiological services
• Assist the Lead Respiratory Clinical Physiologist in overseeing the day to day running of diagnostic services and staff cover within the department
• Provide a comprehensive respiratory and sleep investigative clinical service to patients of all ages referred from a wide range of specialities from across the region
• Provide expert opinion, advice and interpretation of simple, specialist, complex and highly complex assessments to medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with the management, leadership and clinical training of Lung Function staff and other staff groups
