ERM China is looking to add an Associate Consultant to join our Liability Portfolio Management & Remediation team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Phase I &II ESA (both desktop and fieldwork), remedial action design (support role) and implementation, site audits, general EHS consulting services, etc.
- Take lead in data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, figures and other relevant data using GIS, conceptual/groundwater modeling software, and prepare technical reports.
- Focus on team project delivery, taking directions primarily from Project Managers and team Partner.
- Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all national and local regulations and technical guidelines with respect to project implementation and advisory services.
- Communicate with project team members, vendors/subcontractors, regulators, clients, and coordinate field activities with relevant parties (i.e., site representatives).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors or Masters (preferred) in geology, hydrogeology, environmental sciences or engineering, or related discipline.
- 1 - 3 years of experience, including willingness/interest in field assignments, GIS, modeling software, and database management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
- Ability to handle multiple project assignments at once and maintain flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.
- Strong Chinese/English writing and speaking ability is a must.
