We are seeking an experienced and client-focused manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to transition into a broader compliance and consultative position, supporting a diverse portfolio of international companies. As a key member of the management team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing client experience, providing technical support, fostering staff development, and ensuring overall team success. You will oversee the delivery of accounting, payroll, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of international clients, while ensuring new clients are onboarded efficiently and effectively.
You will lead a team of professionals, sharing your technical expertise to help them develop and grow, acting as their coach and mentor. You will also take responsibility for your team’s service delivery, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the delivery of accounting, payroll, and advisory services to a broad portfolio of international clients.
- Participate in new client prospects meetings and oversee the onboarding process.
- Develop a deep understanding of your Client’s businesses to ensure that Forvis Mazars’ reports and advice are timely relevant and that a strong “Trusted Business Advisor” relationship is in place.
- Impart technical expertise to your team to ensure accounts are prepared in line with Singapore and International Financial Standards. Additionally, identify and highlight potential advisory and compliance issues (e.g. taxation, Companies Act, immigration) to the appropriate experts within Mazars for further consideration.
- Plan the work of your team and help them to ensure deliverables are timely and processes are efficient.
- Take ownership of the financial performance of your team.
- Ensure all firm quality and risk processes are understood and complied with by your team.
- Coach, mentor and support the continuous development and well-being of staff.
- Act as a key member of the management team, exhibiting and promoting high levels of client service and commercial thinking.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and other tasks as and when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Accountancy and/or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory level, preferably from a professional services firm in an Accounting/Outsourcing/Client Accounting/Audit environment.
- Deep understanding of Singapore compliance requirements including accounting, tax, payroll, Companies Act is a definite advantage
- Strong and extensive technical accounting knowledge in Singapore and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential; Familiarity with XERO, SAP and/or NetSuite is an advantage.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Demonstrate a strong focus on client service, with entrepreneurial and commercial thinking skills.
