Job Summary
• This role is responsible for overseeing the country/market communications function within a large and complex business, directing the execution of global and market/country specific communication strategies, and leading employee engagement programs. The role establishes media relations strategies and creates original and consistent content for various channels. The role manages a team responsible for engagement programs and lifecycle communication strategies, and closely collaborates with consumer PR and partnership leads to ensure program evaluation systems are in place.
Responsibilities
• Directs the country/market communications function for a large, complex business, or for a major sub-function within one of organization’s largest, most complex businesses.
• Develops and executes the global and country/market specific communications strategy in coordination with senior leadership and corporate teams.
• Leads and develops the internal communications strategies and employee engagement programs.
• Establishes strategies for media relations, build relationships with media contacts, seek placements in print, broadcast and online channels, and create the corresponding content including press releases, articles, opinion pieces, and presentations.
• Enables a team of talented product marketing managers, development, multimedia, and agencies to create impactful engagement programs that delight and engage players.
• Drives engagement by developing and executing lifecycle communication strategies for consumer, professional and customer segments in the country/market.
• Maintains a close working partnership with the organization's consumer PR and partnership leads to stay tightly coordinated on plans and priorities.
• Ensures that evaluation systems are in place related to program measurement against stated marketing and communications objectives, and regularly monitors and reports on progress.
• Acts as a spokesperson during crisis situations and manage external communication to mitigate negative impacts.
• Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, International Studies, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in content creation, PR, or a related field.
