Job Description:
- Review, draft, and provide legal advice on various types of construction contracts, including agreements with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors.
- Resolve legal issues and provide interpretation of contracts during negotiations.
- Provide timely and accurate legal advice and counsel to management and project teams on a wide range of legal matters relevant to construction projects.
- Advise project teams on contract interpretation and ensure compliance throughout the duration of projects.
- Offer guidance and legal support in the resolution of disputes, claims, and potential litigation arising from construction projects.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel, if necessary, to represent the Company in legal proceedings.
- Prepare and maintain various standard agreements, such as supplier and customer agreements.
Qualifications:
- Background in Law and admission to the Singapore Bar with 10 years’ of experience in construction law and dispute resolution.
- A strong understanding of construction contracts, with previous in-house experience in the construction sector, would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
