Olympus will be the sixth venue from the team behind Sydney institutions The Apollo and Cho Cho San in Potts Point, Brisbane's Greca and Yoko Dining, located at the vibrant and bustling Howard Smith Wharves and The Apollo in Tokyo. Set to open as the Centerpiece restaurant in the new Surry Hills Village precinct opening later this year, the 200-seat restaurant and bar is inspired by ancient Greek grill house cooking and designed to be a place of celebration perfect for sharing great food with loved ones.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties:
- Work across all sections of the kitchen, from cooking over fire to pastry and larder sections
- Work with the head chef on the creation and implementation and development of new dishes
- Train junior team members to the Olympus standard
- Stock ordering and regular stock-takes
- Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
- Leads kitchen team in head chef’s absence
- Schedules staff shifts
- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen
For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work
experience:
- 3 years minimum experience required and experience
- Relevant Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma;
- Experience in Greek cuisine a plus not essential
Salary: $80,000- 90,000 plus 11.5% super
