MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages overall branch office.
• Lead business development activities at the branch resulting in customer relationship index, loan portfolio, deposit portfolio increase and any additional financial and/or service goals.
• Drive and promotes positive dynamics among branch team members with customer and co-workers at all levels: synergies, teamwork, and a healthy work environment.
• Responsible for the delivery of proactive and superior customer experience in the branch. Building a customer focused culture amongst the entire Branch Team to deepen and achieve long term and profitable customer’s relationships.
• Support the Bank’s digital transformation by encouraging the team to actively promote transaction migration and customer’s adoption.
• Strengthen bank relationship with customers, by encouraging excellent communications skills, effective customers interactions, professional projection and image.
• Maintain and sustain a franchise model at the branch, ensures all decisions and determination are aligned and comply with our service standards. Monitors, evaluates and coach staff  performance to ensure compliance with our values, attributes and value proposition on daily activities and interactions with internal and external customers.
• Oversees direct reports leadership, professional development and performance management activities.
• Assist in recruitment process, candidate selection, motivates and develops assigned staff. 
• Provide direction and lead the staff to maintain required service levels in all branch areas.
• Ensures branch compliance with bank regulations, requirements, and procedures; ensures staff follows operational and security policies and procedures. Responsible for obtaining satisfactory results on regulatory reviews, branch audits and any other internal and/or external reviews.
• Represents the financial institution in the community through good customer relations.
• Reviews and approves banking transactions in accordance with established authority levels/limits.
• Manages branch audits.
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Master of Business Administration Business Administration, Finance or related field required.
• Four (4) years experience in a similar position in a financial services company or five (5) years in a related work in management.
• Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
• Fully Bilingual – English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), reporting systems and other business applications required.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems/issues, gather data and information, evaluate and recommend alternative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse staff, colleagues, and clients.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Write and prepare qualitative investigative narratives and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and recommend relationship retention or termination in a timely manner in compliance with the timeframes required by federal laws & regulations.
• Ascertain that adequate analysis, documentation and uniform evaluation is applied on all cases according with the internal procedures.  Refer for further investigation any possible unusual activity observed within a review that is not necessarily related to the subject under analysis.
• Timely follow up on information requests to ascertain prompt case review resolution to comply with regulations requirements.
• Assist the business in approving OFAC inquiries and possible matches.
• Establishes and maintains effective liaison and communication with business, operational units, and any other employee of the bank to enhance resolution efforts and promote BSA / AML policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, criminal justice, or any other related field required. 
• Two (2) years of relevant banking related BSA/AML analysis, fraud, compliance, transactional, retail, or operational experience required. One (1) year of BSA investigations experience highly desirable.
• Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
• Knowledge of the BSA, AML, KYC rules and OFAC’s general dispositions and requirements.
• Ability to identify and analyze unusual and suspicious transactions or activity.
• In depth analytical thinking & high attention to detail required.
• Effective communication skills to facilitate data gathering and follow up.
• One (1) year of relevant BSA/AML analysis, fraud, compliance, transactional, retail, banking, or operational experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both: English and Spanish. Technical writing ability regarding BSA, AML & SAR terminology preferred.

• Provide ongoing risk management oversight of key market risk activities and limit monitoring.
• Direct involvement in annual audits: Internal Audit and FDIC “Safety and Soundness Examination”, and Model Validations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field required. Finance major preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in internal control, risk management, treasury or data analysis required. regulatory capital requirements for a financial institution. Financial services / banking industry experience, preferred.
• Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish with a demonstrated ability to write communications clearly, concisely, and effectively required.
• Computer systems proficiency (MS Office) required.  Advanced knowledge of data base and analytical tools (Excel) highly desirable. 
• Knowledge of bank systems: BIC (Business Intelligence Center) & Metavante, among others preferred.
• Knowledge of market and liquidity risk management processes and measurement techniques as well as financial markets and products (notes-bonds, MBS, derivatives) and quantitative/modeling skills to analyze the associated risks preferred.

• Previous Internship / Co-op experience highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, innovation, influence and decision-making skills required.
• Digital and financial skills preferred.
• Have a project and process mindset with detail-orientation who can manage timelines for optimum productivity, effectiveness, and quality. 
• Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office (Work, Excel & Power Point) required.  Working knowledge and exposure to databases, visualization, querying, and other tools preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Spanish required.
