You’ll learn new skills, build your confidence by working as part of a friendly team, all while achieving a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Land-Based Service Engineering… if this sounds exciting then joining SMTGB is the right career step for you.
Depending on prior knowledge/experience, you will be required to work Monday - Friday from our client's Bruntingthorpe depot for the first six months to a year of your apprenticeship (travel, accommodation and meals will be provided)

With a blend of work-based, online learning and residential training, our client is committed to your development and training to help you succeed and grow. Our client has opportunities in the following locations: Stirling, Newcastle, Immingham, Bruntingthorpe, Warrington, Oxford, Truro, Horsham and Duxford.
Our client will be looking for people who will be able to demonstrate the following:
Great communication skills
Customer service skills (don’t worry if you do not have experience working with customers – though it is important that you can show us that you understand and recognise excellent customer service)
Flexibility and adaptability
A positive and can-do attitude
A real desire to work as an Engineer at SMT GB

That you hold GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent passes in Maths and English
It would be great if you have a driving licence, but this is not essential right now
You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary, which grows as you gain more experience, as well as excellent benefits including tool kit, company bonus, retail discounts, pension, medical and dental cash plan, and 33 days holiday (including bank holidays). Following successful completion of your qualification and as a fully qualified SMTGB Engineer, you'll then become either a field or workshop-based Engineer, working in various locations from a dedicated van if field based, or in your local SMT centre if workshop based.
