The Role

Here at SecureCloud+ we are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer with a focus on automation to join our growing team based out of our Stoke on Trent site.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our cloud-based infrastructure and services.

Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions for deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud infrastructure and services.
Drive the continuous improvement of automation practices to streamline development workflows and enhance release processes.
Champion the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and ensure continuous integration and deployment.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet, with a focus on automation.
Implement and manage containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and scaling applications, emphasising automation.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based services.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in automation, DevOps, and cloud technologies, and drive their adoption within the organisation.

Education and Experience Requirements

As the DevOps Engineer (Automation) you will have:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role with a strong focus on automation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field would be beneficial.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with a strong emphasis on automation.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on automating infrastructure deployment and management.
Strong background in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, with an emphasis on automation.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI, with a focus on automating software delivery pipelines.
Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, with an emphasis on automation.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to automation-driven issue resolution.

The Role

As an essential member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing marketing and communication strategies that cater to our internal and external B2B processes and contribute to our business goals.

As the Security Assurance Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage security assurance activities within the organisation. This entails coordinating efforts to ensure compliance with HMG’s security classification system while delivering innovative, cost-effective, and profitable solutions.

The role will involve two main areas: Information Assurance and Information Security. Your responsibilities include implementing measures to protect and safeguard critical company information and systems, ensuring integrity, availability, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. Additionally, you'll work to prevent unauthorised access, usage, disclosure, alteration, disruption, and destruction of information and systems, all aimed at achieving data integrity, availability, and confidentiality objectives.



Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinate security accreditation and assurance processes for new and enhanced services.
Support the completion of IT Health Checks (ITHC), MOD assurance activities, and JSP processes.
Support junior members of the information security team.
Maintain the Information Security Management System (ISMS) including Risk Management and Accreditation Document Sets (RMADS) and Company Security Policies.
Identify and manage risks to the Company's information security, collaborating with the Senior Information Security Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements

As the Security Assurance Coordinator you will have:

Working towards or qualified in CISSP/CISA/CISM is desirable, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in risk and regulatory frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO27001, MOD JSP440, JSP604.
Proven track record in Information Security and Assurance.
Initiative, pro-activity, and strong teamwork skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing organisational requirements.
Excellent communication skills to influence employee behavior and perceptions.
Proficiency in leveraging technology for effective security solutions.
Experience in managed service environments, with awareness of ITIL best practices.

Lead and coordinate the execution of test cases, including functional testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate the quality and stability of services.
