Cherrywood is a 9 bedded service based in Elderslie we have 2 bungalows 5 people with profound needs lives in one and 4 with Autism in the other
All the people we support require assistance with all aspects of personal care, assisting with meals and administering medication to everyone ensures their health and wellbeing are met.
The people we support enjoy outings daily accessing the community attending their dance clubs, the love aromatherapy twice weekly, and they have music sessions in house twice weekly.
We also attend lots of concerts regular at the Hydro, and we enjoy short breaks to Centre Parks.

I am Miss M I require staff to assist me with bathing, I like music on in the bathroom. On a Saturday night I like a takeaway, loads of goodies and GBX on.
I like to spend some quality time with my nightshift worker. I enjoy a cup of tea and chilling with music on to relax, before being assisted to bed. I will let you know when I want to go to my bed.
Staff will assist me checks overnight to ensure that I’m comfortable and okay, I like this as I find it reassuring.
In the morning, I like to be assisted up, ready for the day, with my breakfast and to discuss my plans for the day.

The Kelvin Project is based in Kirkintilloch. At Kelvin staff support unaccompanied asylum seekers age 16-25. Staff work as part of a multi-disciplinary team which involves supporting people with their asylum claim, referrals to various agencies, enrolment to school / college and much more. Often the people we support require someone who can support them through the night if needed.
I am A and I live at the Kelvin Project. I have travelled alone from my country which is at war. The journey has been an extremely hard and very traumatic. I have no family in the UK. Staff at Kelvin offer me support to become a confident independent person whilst providing a safe and nurturing environment.

De Paul House is located in Govan and comprises of 3 x 4 in a block style own front door flats, offering 24 hours supported accommodation for 9 young people aged between 16 – 25 years of age. We provide support with budgeting, cooking, shopping, maintaining a property and all the skills required to manage their own tenancy when ready to move on. De Paul will signpost and link in with other agencies for education, training and work experience. We take a person-centred holistic approach to each individual capturing all support needs and supporting at a pace that is right for them.

Hi, I’m Max and I live in De Paul House. Having a full flat to myself in the project gives me my own space and I have the option to come to communal areas if I want to, so it is a good balance.
I enjoy going on activities like paintballing and go-karting. I also like meeting up with my keyworker for key sessions. I am focused on getting my own tenancy and spend time with the staff to achieve my goals and outcomes to work towards my move on journey.
I am very independent but ask for help when I need it with things like budgeting and harm reduction.

Hi, I’m K and I have been attending the South Glasgow Recovery Hub since September 2023. I self-referred to the hub for support for my ongoing addiction. My life has been difficult as I have been impacted with trauma, due to my addiction I have no positive relationships with family or friends.
The hub has provided me with support and amazing opportunities with to deal with my trauma and substance use by attending in hub groups, as well as regular meeting with my keyworker.

When it comes to supporting me, it is imperative that I have someone I can build a relationship up with to ensure there is trust, patience and empathy. It’s important that my keyworker has genuine values, understanding of addiction, with a friendly approach.
Please note previous applicants need not apply. Experience of Social care / addiction is required.
