Job Description & Requirements
- Accountable for the Corporate finance, Consolidation, MIS operations of the company, including the development of financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to the strategy, and on-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
- Analyse new projects and investment proposals through financial modelling, performing feasibility studies and preparing reports to assess financial viabilities of projects, predictable cash flow and growth opportunities.
- Planning:
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Develop financial and tax strategies
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
- System Implementation:
Take forward the digital journey for the group
- Operations:
Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations
Implement operational best practices
- Financial Information:
Oversee the issuance of financial information
Report financial results to the board of directors
- Funding:
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Arrange for debt and equity financing
Invest funds
- Third Parties:
Maintain banking relationships
Represent the company with investment bankers and investors
- Leadership:
Team leader for the Finance team members in various subsidiaries across Africa, Asia and Europe.
Setting finance team KPI’s and review their performance and development
Job Requirements:
- CA or equivalent with a specialization in accounts & finance
- Min 15 years’ experience in Business, Finance & Accounting.
- Experience in business leadership
- Self-motivated, passionate individual
- Adaptive to new & challenging environments
- Experience in the trading industry
- Team player with good commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Willing to travel frequently to Africa, Asia and Europe locations for overseas operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Agreeable to 5.5 day work week
