You’re home daily - here’s what you’d be doing each day:
- Keep our customer happy with accurate, timely, deliveries of GFS products
- Build and maintain good customer relationships
 
We'll teach you a lot, but we do have a few minimum requirements:
- At least 21 years of age
- One year previous driving experience AND one year experience in customer service or related field
- Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
- Successfully passing a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
- Ready for technology - handheld scanners, basic computer operations
- Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards 
- You must be able to pass a DOT physical

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Expert in satellite communications (SATCOM) link initialization, troubleshooting, optimization and control; extremely proficient in communications between deployed remote terminals and network operation centers and earth terminals.

More About The Role:

Designs and plans network systems. Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Configures and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). Conducts testing of network systems. Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization. Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations. Monitors network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Monitors system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning. Works with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Provides Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. • BA/BS with 3 years of experience ( in Intelligence Systems operation and training and 9 years of experience with no BA/BS degree.

Role Summary:

The Field Service Technician installs, commissions, monitors, troubleshoots, and repairs Flowserve’s pumps, seals, and other equipment across industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and wastewater industries, depending on the customer engagement.
In this challenging position the Field Service Technician (FST) provides real-time technical support to our customers, and provides recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and replacement equipment. The FST is actively engaged in troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions onsite at nearby customer facilities.
Our Field Service Technician team is the face of Flowserve, and we count on them to deliver a world-class service to our customers, creating a lasting competitive advantage for our products and services.

Your responsibilities:

• Make direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests.
• Assess mechanical problems and take actions to resolve promptly.
• Work side-by-side with our customer’s personnel, and lead work crews as required.
• Oversee the full cycle of repair: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.
• Ensure that equipment is installed successfully and on schedule.
• Check equipment prior to start-up and assess start-up performance.
• Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.
• Train customers in the proper procedures for operating and maintaining Flowserve products.

Your profile:

• Professional certifications in this field.
• Ability to work collaboratively with unfamiliar teams.
• HS Diploma / GED or 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable in industrial applications and operations of pumps, valves, seals, actuators, and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with installing mechanical equipment.
• Experience with repairing pump equipment, installing mechanical seals, changing seal faces/gaskets/O rings.
• Proven ability to correctly read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Must be a self-starter with good follow-through, capable of working independently with little supervision.
• Capable in Outlook, Word, and Excel
• An active driver’s license with a good driving record is essential to the role.
• Able to travel, including globally, for extended periods of time.
