Finance Master Data Manager
£46,400 to £69,400 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre, in this role you'll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home and coming into our Manchester office at least once a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
We're looking for a Finance Master Data Manager to join a brand-new team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You'll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of 'co-operating to build more value for member-owners everyday'.
As a Finance Master Data Manager, you'll lead a team of Master Data Specialists to develop and implement finance master data governance, policies, and standards. We'll look to you to make sure our data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with regulations and industry best practice. This is an exciting time to join us, as we look to transform our finance systems and implement SAP S4 HANA. You'll be our inhouse expert, with experience of maintaining and managing finance master data in SAP, supporting us in making sure our new system is capturing the right data.
What you'll do
- Monitor and improve the quality of master data through data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation processes
- Manage the creation, changing and closing of finance master data across multiple finance systems
- Define and control data standards for naming conventions, data formats and data categorisation to maintain consistency across systems and departments
- Assign data ownership responsibilities to relevant business units or data specialists
- Create and maintain documentation related to master data
- Lead a team of Master Data Specialists, making sure data updates are made accurately and in a timely manner
- Implement and apply data security measures to protect sensitive master data from unauthorised access or breaches
- Support data migration projects making sure finance master data is accurately transformed and transferred between systems during system upgrades or migrations
This role would suit people who have
- Experience of maintaining and manging finance master data in SAP
- Strong line management experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with change control and management
