The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUHFT) Digital Health team is responsible for the delivery of digital services across the Trust to support its clinical and administrative obligations.

The Department comprises of 4 main areas - Digital Hospital, Operational, Informatics & Information Governance and made up of over 50+ staff. Our aims are to provide the highest level of digital services and support to the Trust staff, the Trust's partners, and commissioners.

The Digital Health Service Management Team are looking to recruit a Digital Health Stock Assistants for 12.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be someone who understands the value of providing outstanding customer service and is able to effectively balance the need for IT service delivery with the operational needs of a large, busy hospital. Able to work proactively under pressure and deliver against individual and team Key Performance Indicators.

As a Digital Health Stock Assistant, you will assist in maintaining the containers full of stock, booking in deliveries, delivering, and arranging collection of equipment. Also, you will assist with the Registration Authority process, by unlocking cards, and printing new cards.

Essential skills include excellent customer service and communication skills. The ability to priorities and work well as part of a team is also essential.

While the role is based at the main hospital site, you will be expected to travel to the Trust’s other sites when required for work purposes, for which transport will be provided, so a full driving license is essential.

• Supporting the Desktop Service Administrator with internal supply chain services e.g. receipts, distribution and/or materials management using computerised receipts, storage and/or bar-coded data capture systems.
• Unpacking and checking delivered items against delivery/order information, takes corrective action where necessary and maintains audit records.
• Book in equipment that has been delivered by the suppliers, updating the procurement system and the ITSM system with the details.

• Occasional cover for the Desktop Service Administrator in raising requisitions/orders to purchase regular “stock” and “non-stock” goods/services.
• Decommissioning old equipment following the NNUH process.
• Assist with container management making sure any stock is logged.
• To understand and comply with the policies and procedures in relation to the Registration Authority and local policies and procedures in relation to the issue and use of Smart Cards.
• To have a working knowledge of the necessary identification documentation needed to identify individuals for the purpose of issuing them with Smart Cards.

Assist in developing, refreshing and delivering a Digital Health Strategy focused on maximising the advantages to the Trust of national and local objectives. The strategy will concentrate on the major new systems areas but will also guide the transition from current central and departmental systems to a new, unified platform and strengthen and develop the robustness of the underlying infrastructure. Plan, lead and deliver the implementation of replacement of technology and digital systems, clinical, administrative, operational software and related systems. This role will be responsible up to Board Level to ensuring that all systems and ways of working using digital technology are effective, as any impact may severely impact on patient care and how staff manage patients. Manage subcontractors and other relevant suppliers ensuring services and supplies are made in accordance with the contracts in place and negotiating and developing new contracts.
