Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Circa £41,000 per annum
Our client is offering an exciting opportunity to lead their fast paced and dynamic production team, within a food manufacturing environment in Deeside. Offering a competitive salary of £41,000 per annum, the role will operate on a shift rotation and will stay consistent to promote work life balance, including 3 day weekends every week.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Supervisor within a fast paced food manufacturing environment, who is looking to join a rapidly growing and supportive business who are known for their staff progression, regular salary reviews and investment into their people.
Main duties as the Supervisor include:
* Drive shift performance on recognised business KPI's and maintain standard utilisation of raw materials, packaging, and labour
* To actively promote a safety & well being culture within the department and ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are met by every team member
* To foster high levels of motivation and morale within the team through sound leadership and effective employee communication & engagement strategy consistently
* Engendering an engaged team culture of mutual trust, respect and collaboration
* Ensure accurate & comprehensive record keeping within the team is maintained. This includes accident investigation, hazard reporting, engineering work requests and all process & packing documentation
* Provide first line safeguarding within the operations team and nurture the development of individuals within the defined structure
* Ensure effective operational handovers between the two shifts
* To promote the development and implementation of a culture of continuous improvement of quality, productivity, efficiency and cost control. Personally lead projects of focused improvements & also assign champions from within the team for others
The ideal candidate will have:
* Leadership experience working in a fast paced food manufacturing environment
* Proven experience of continuous improvement methodologies
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience of ERP systems such as SAP or Optima
