We are proud to work with a leading UK charity dedicated to supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries, helping them to live as independently as possible. Their new neurological centre in York is a cutting-edge facility that offers spacious, modern accommodations and a comprehensive rehabilitation program.
About the Role:
They are seeking a motivated and experienced Hospital Manager to lead their brand-new, state-of-the-art neurological centre in York. This facility is designed to support up to 40 individuals with acquired brain injuries, offering both residential care and rehabilitation services.
As the Hospital Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the hospital's operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. You will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team, managing budgets, and driving the business development of the hospital. Your role will also involve maintaining full compliance with regulatory standards and managing relationships with commissioners and other stakeholders.
About You:
- You must have previous experience as a Registered Manager and in managing a clinical team.
- A clinical qualification or live nurse PIN is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management: Provide professional leadership and 'hands-on' management, supporting and guiding staff. Assume line management responsibilities for senior management and clinical teams.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the hospital meets all regulatory and legislative requirements.
Business Development: Market the hospital to potential commissioners, develop new business opportunities, and manage change within the service.
Financial Management: Set and monitor budgets, manage financial systems, and ensure effective use of resources.
Recruitment & Staff Development: Oversee recruitment, ensure compliance with employment law, and provide training and support to staff.
Patient Care: Ensure that all patients receive comprehensive assessments, personalized support plans, and regular reviews.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Completed QCF (NVQ) Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Strong leadership, financial management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage and guide a multidisciplinary team, prioritize workloads, and work flexibly, including unsociable hours.
- In-depth understanding of statutory requirements, legislation, and outcomes in a residential care setting
