Within VIVO we are currently recruiting for a Billable Works Manager who will join our direct delivery team, managing a large pipeline of small project works up to £25k across Southwick Park and surrounding locations.
Reporting into the Built Estate Manager (BEM) you will liaise with direct delivery team and contractors to ensure all billable works are delivered efficiently and are compliant with statutory legislation, MoD requirements and H&S standards. This will include ensuring all billable work documentation/information is completed in a timely manner i.e. Statement of Need, Invoices, Purchase Orders, Maximo, etc.
This role will see you provide technical support and advice to DIO and the customer, providing optimal solutions to meet customer requirements. Whilst you manage cost and stakeholder expectations through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure we provide value for money, you will also ensure any complaints are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Within this role you will be reviewing and approving RAMS to ensure they meet our health and safety standards. Working closely with Approved Persons (APs) you will ensure that all billable works carried out on site are conducted IAW with JSP375.
Other key responsibilities include;
- Carrying out the duties of Temporary Works Coordinator and CDM Principal Designer/Principal Contractor.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption on site and initiate Billable Works as appropriate by the raising of Statements of Need.
- Managing FGas and waste compliance within the establishment.
- Providing progress reports to internal and external customers.
What you’ll need to do this role
Within this role you will use your previous experience within facility management or built estates to manage small projects, including scoping/requirements gathering and your working knowledge of SFG20, CDM regulations and Asbestos to ensure high customer service.
You will need to hold a relevant industry health & safety qualification.
It is desirable that you hold an ONC/HNC or BTEC qualification within a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering environment.
You will be computer literate with previous experience of working with CAFM systems such as Maximo being desirable.
You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
