Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer and based in our London HQ, you will be responsible for leading the global retail strategy and team across all directly operated stores around the world (based in Europe, America and APAC). You will further have global responsibility for our retail support to franchises and distributors and our most important dealers (Gold dealers) to help shape the future growth of Brompton, build brand awareness, secure and establish brand identity and to elevate our customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the sales performance and overall profitability of the Brompton retail channel.
Build the overall Retail channel strategy and vision, with full P&L responsibility.
Optimize our store portfolio – this includes rebuilds, openings and potential closures.
Support franchise partners and our Gold dealers to secure that they get and follow the set brand guidelines
Accountable for setting the store channel budget, supported by controlling and that it has appropriate goals, plans and budgets to maximise sales, improve efficiency, and increase profit.
Collaborate with Regional Managing Director’s in creating and managing financial plans, opening of stores and rebuilds in the region.
Regularly analyse the sales performance of each region, create actions to increase conversion within the region.
Review P&L monthly to drive top and bottom-line performance and profitability targets and deliver to set plans.
Lead the Regional Retail sales teams together with the regional MDs to grow the business, guiding through the whole employee life cycle (recruitment, performance, appraisal, reward, development and exits).
Lead and collaborate with the Head of Retail to analyse service performance reports and implement actions based on feedback.
Collaborate with the Global Marketing Director to guarantee all stores are in line with Brand Guidelines and are merchandised accordingly.
Collaborate with the Regional Leads, Marketing and E-commerce to align the business strategy and reinforce the store sales experience.
Partner closely with Marketing and public relations to maximise in-store events, programming, activities and other offerings to drive community connections and delight our customers.
Negotiating new leases and lease renewals, based on retail development strategy inputs and annual rollout plans.
Working with external partners and landlords to review and select site opportunities that meet the strategy, brand guidelines, space requirements and business guardrails.
Preparing and presenting site evaluation and site approval packages to develop business case and seeking approval through Global Real Estate committees.
Working closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
Developing and maintaining clear real estate processes and company standards, including lease terms.
Conducting periodic real estate portfolio reviews with landlords. Accountability for lease actions that drive profitability targets and occupancy costs.
Working with internal and external legal counsel to review LOIs, defining lease risk protections and finalising execution.
Collaborating with teams internally to ensure new stores and renovations are completed on time, using support from the landlords and local authorities.
Maintaining updated Lease Portfolio and Landlord Database in line with our 5 year plan

Your Experience:
Proven experience working in and with physical retail stores regionally and/or globally
Data driven, strong ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data sets.
Strong negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience partnering with senior business leaders (Directors, VPs).
People Leadership experience with the ability to develop teams.
Ability to travel indicatively 30% of the time, sometimes more depending on specific projects.
