Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and bilingual Business Development Manager to focus on hosting Chinese guests. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Mandarin and possess a strong understanding of Chinese culture and preferences. This role will involve developing and executing strategies to attract and serve Chinese travelers, as well as building relationships with Chinese clients and partners. Past experience in China or working with Chinese clients is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research on the Chinese travel market to identify trends, preferences, and opportunities.
Analyze competitor offerings and market dynamics to develop effective strategies.
2. Client Acquisition: Develop and execute a business development plan to attract Chinese guests and clients.
Identify and target key Chinese travel agencies, tour operators, and potential partners.
3. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Chinese travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate clients.
Act as the main point of contact for Chinese clients, ensuring excellent customer service.
4. Product and Service Customization: Work closely with the operations team to tailor hospitality services to meet the specific needs and preferences of Chinese guests.
Ensure that accommodations, amenities, and services are culturally sensitive and appealing to Chinese travelers.
5. Marketing and Promotion: Develop marketing campaigns and promotional materials targeted at Chinese audiences. Collaborate with the marketing team to create and manage digital marketing efforts in Chinese social media and online platforms.
6. Communication and Translation: Provide effective bilingual communication and translation support between English-speaking staff and Chinese guests or clients.
Assist in the preparation of Chinese-language materials and documentation.
7. Sales and Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with Chinese clients and partners. Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
8. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and tactics.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or a related field.
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Previous experience in business development, sales, or marketing with a focus on the Chinese market is highly preferred.
• Understanding of Chinese culture, travel trends, and customer preferences.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
