About Us
The Finance team is a proactive, valued, and trusted business partner within the University and provides significant contributions towards the implementation of the University’s strategic plan. The Role
The successful applicant will lead procurement activities under established category strategies in partnership with University stakeholders and deliver value for money outcomes that support the University’s Strategy.
Key responsibilities for the role can be split into the following categories as outlined within the Position Description:
- Lead Procurement Initiatives
- Category Management
- Reporting
- Continuous Improvement
- Ad Hoc tasks
What you’ll bring to this role
- Proven experience in strategic procurement and category management, preferably in a complex organisational setting
- A customer-centric mindset characterised by proactivity, responsiveness to internal stakeholder needs and the ability to cultivate positive relationships
- Demonstrated experience achieving value for money outcomes by leading all aspects of high-value, high-risk procurement processes
- High level written skills with the ability to prepare complex procurement and technical documents, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- High level analytical, conceptual and strategic problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and experience in contract management and negotiations with the ability to interpret and understand contractual terms specific to the procurement of goods, services and works
- High level proficiency in document control and management
