Role & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance across all areas of engineering - manufacturing, production, site services and associated facilities
• Carry out PPM schedules effectively and efficiently
• Involved with site project work - installations & upgrades to machinery
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
• Dealing with high-speed food production, processing & packaging machinery, automation & controls

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

The Social Work Mental Health Team is an established team, which promotes close multi-disciplinary working alongside health colleagues within the Community Mental Health Team based in Kirkintilloch. The Social Work Team provides a range of statutory duties and community care services to individuals who experience severe and enduring mental health issues.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assist in the delivery of our community care duties and contribute to complex care management. As such you will be highly motivated with experience of promoting recovery focused practice, be confident in managing risk and looking for creative ways to promote independence. You will have experience in self-directed support and have an understanding of mental health social work.

You can demonstrate a clear knowledge of Adult Services Legislation, and have experience of multi-disciplinary working, good communication skills, written and verbal and the ability to work well as part of a team.

East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust (EDLCT) is recruiting a part time Library Services Team Leader to cover the current postholder taking a career break to further their studies in the libraries sector.

Reporting to the Cultural Services Manager you will be joining the Cultural Services team, at a positive time, as the service continues to develop, and increase usage figures, despite these nationally challenging times.

You must have demonstrable knowledge of management and delivery of public library services with a keen financial awareness and knowledge of funding sources. Proven experience of effectively leading a team and managing delegated budgets are essential, as are strong communication, numeracy, diagnostic and analytical skills.

This post is shared with another, permanent, postholder and the hours will be split across a rotating two weekly work pattern of Thursday and Friday in week 1 and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in week 2, averaging out at 17.5hrs per week. It is important that you are able to accommodate this work pattern in order to achieve consistency in management cover. You will also have line management responsibility for a share of library branch Team Leaders and other library services officers.

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy Community Protection Service on a permanent basis. As a Community Warden you will contribute to the effective delivery of Community Safety services to all customers by carrying out the full range of operational Community Safety activities with the aim of creating strong, safe and attractive communities.

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality responsive customer focussed services to the public, within a challenging and varied environment. This will include the enforcement of on and off-street parking restrictions, and enforcement of environmental incivilities such as dog fouling, litter, smoking and other environmental issues. You will be responsible for investigations and resolutions in terms of local antisocial behaviour issues including night noise issues, community safety issues, service requests and complaints across the area. You will also be required to work in partnership and proactively support local communities, and build relationships e.g. with the public, colleagues in other services, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, local agencies and organisations. In particular you will support and have active involvement in youth issues and diversionary activities for young people within East Dunbartonshire.

Applicants should possess excellent communication skills at all levels, an ability to work effectively on their own initiative, and also be able to support the wider performance of the Community Safety team through a culture of teamwork and flexibility in order to support the overall success of the Council.

You must have sound general education, including excellent numerical and literacy skills. You must also possess a full current driving licence.

Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Social Worker to join East Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership’s Joint Learning Disability Team. The post is based within the Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre.

Our Joint Learning Disability Team is a well-established, integrated and experienced team which is co-located within an integrated building providing the full range of adult social work and primary health services.

The Joint Learning Disability team provides a full range of health and social care services to adults with learning disabilities, providing a responsive, flexible and outcome focussed response to the citizens of East Dunbartonshire Council. Transitions based work and the promotion of personalised services to adults with learning disabilities and their families are central to our approach alongside assessment and care management responsibilities across social work services in line with statutory responsibilities and national outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity offering a varied and diverse range of experience across all aspects of social work within learning disability services within an established and cohesive integrated team.

Applicants must hold a professional social work qualification and be registered with SSSC. Applicants will have experience of social work practice within adult social work services, and an understanding of the relevant legislation.

We are looking for people of all backgrounds to join our established Production Team in Kirkintilloch covering various tasks & duties in a Production Operator role.

As a Production Operator you will be tasked with:

• Operating and monitoring production equipment and machinery
• Overseeing complete production processes
