The Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital, NNUH, is seeking one substantive 10PA consultant in paediatric respiratory medicine. The successful appointee will help shape the developments of this well-established unit and support the East of England CF network and regional respiratory services. Thepost comprises of 10PA of which 1.5 SPA and 8PAs of clinical work.The clinical work will include specialized cystic fibrosis and respiratory work.

We encourage applicants who have completed their national sub-speciality grid/ SPIN/equivalent training in paediatric respiratory medicine.

The successful applicant will work with colleagues in paediatric respiratory medicine, paediatric medicine, surgery, and neonatology to provide respiratory support to inpatients and outpatients in the Jenny Lind Children Hospital. They will collaborate with colleagues at CUH to develop closer clinical, research and training links, as lead centres within the regional Paediatric Respiratory and Cystic Fibrosis services. NNUH is a recognised specialist centre for Cystic Fibrosis.

The Acute paediatrics and paediatric medicine on-call are delivered by a team of consultants working across children’s emergency department, children’s assessment unit and inpatient wards.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support our innovative team in the next phase of its development. We are looking for Senior Assistant Practitioners – Mental Health (band 5) to join our BANK. To help support the substantive team, with the day-to-day advice and signposting of referrals made to the service and the increased volume of referrals we are receiving.

The Advice, Support and Access service launched 6 months ago and provides a single point of referral for mental health support for the Norfolk and Waveney region for children and young people aged 0 up to 25 years.

The Mental Health access team works within the wider offer of the Just One Number service, a single point of access for the Health Child Service and the Speech and Language Therapy, this provides us with a huge array of expertise and a proven track record of providing excellent and timely interventions, our work is underpinned by Just One Norfolk web site, our evidence based digital support and resources.

We are looking to cover 8am until 6pm (shifts are 8am-4pm and 10am-6pm) Monday to Friday, shifts will be allocated as the demand of service dictates.



Our aim is to find the right support, the right resources and the right services for our young people.

This offers the right candidate an opportunity to hone skills in the triage of mental health referrals, explore and link with other statutory and non-statutory services, help to identify advice and guidance for young people and their parents and work with a dedicated dynamic and supportive team. We are looking for individuals with experience of working within Mental Health services and with children/ young people’s mental health.

The post holder will be a registered Practitioner and provide clinical expertise to allow the review, information gathering and triaging of mental health referrals for children, adolescents, and young people (0-25) within Norfolk and Waveney at the Single Point of Access – Just One Number (JON). They will also provide advice, guidance, and support to people with mental health care needs via telephone and other forms of digital technology.

Here at Serco, we’re looking for a Mechanical Craftsperson to join our Estates department at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a diverse engineering environment providing a wide scope for development of skills and knowledge as well as making a positive difference in supporting the NHS and community we support.

Reporting into the Mechanical Supervisor the Mechanical Craftsperson will be part of the engineering team providing planned preventative and reactive maintenance services across the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital site as part of Serco’s Hard FM estates service to the NHS.

The post holder will ensure that the hospitals’ buildings, fabric, plant, services and equipment are maintained to a high standard and ensure their continued safety, efficiency and reliability. They will carry out maintenance and repairs on a large variety of plant and equipment to include but not limited to:


- Medium Temperature Hot Water systems
- Steam systems, pipelines and associated equipment and safety devices.
- Hot and cold-water systems including cold water service tanks, calorifiers, thermostatic mixing valves etc.
- Hydrotherapy pool
- Medical gas systems
- Decontamination equipment
- Ventilation/air handling systems
- Pump overhauls.
- Equipment repairs
- Systems balancing and testing etc.
- An awareness of electrical and building management/control systems would also be beneficial.


What you’ll need to do the role:


- Completed a recognised appropriate Engineering Apprenticeship or other relevant structured Training Program, appropriate City & Guilds and/or BTEC certification (minimum NVQ Level 3).
- Proven experience of working in a similar environment.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Building Services.
- Ability to demonstrate a professional approach with strong awareness to health and safety.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in high pressure situations.

This a new full-time substantive appointment in response to service requirements. The post joins three glaucoma consultants, a consultant optometrist, five specialist nurses, a glaucoma fellow and a glaucoma resident doctor to deliver the glaucoma service at the Department of Ophthalmology, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The job may also require travel to Cromer Hospital.

The Trust will initially allocate 1.5 SPAs for appraisals, CPD, mandatory training, job planning etc. A further 1 SPA may be allocated for formal audit, formal research and formal undergraduate and post-graduate education activity and supervision. The appointee will be expected to participate in the non-resident 1:8 on call (second tier). Consideration of time off in lieu (e.g. for unscheduled working) will be made if appropriate.
