Transport Operator, required for our client's brand new company in Dover.

Job Purpose:
As a Transport Operator, you would be responsible for resourcing and implementing the delivery plan in conjunction with the wider team, with a strong emphasis on Service, a Transport Operator has several objectives:
Ensuring all Routes need to run on time, and hitting high delivery performance targets. Routes must also be efficient whilst always operating within the required legal and company guidelines, utilising Company and/or third-party resources, effectively managing vehicle utilisation and ensuring drivers are given clear and precise instructions.
Ensuring that all service levels are met cost-effectively and within the constraints of drivers' hours and Health & Safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
The Successful Candidate will be required to be responsible for and undertake the following tasks.
* Ensuring that all elements of the job are effectively communicated to drivers and sub-contractors.
* Analysing the full transport plan and identifying short comings in delivery on time and service levels, and adapting the plan to ensure this is met.

* Ensure that all drivers are working within a safe environment and follow driver hours' regulations.
* Liaising with planning team to optimise fleet/driver utilisation, identifying and resolving problems affecting delivery on time.

This is also to be extended when communicating with drivers and other staff members.
